morning all.

the photos we took whilst on holiday are all different sizes as they were taken on about 4 or 5 dfferent cameras so is the a programme i can use to resize them all at once or do i have to do them individually?

thanks.

If you use something like google picasa you can do a batch export that resizes everything according to what you want to do with them - iow print, email, upload to flickr etc.

Please remember to back them up first, they will lose their quality.
This is why I recommend the export method which should leave the original untouched. :)

hmmmm thanks guys will have a look just now. i have backed them up to disc so far.

There is a photo resize powertoy for Win XP from Microsoft, it works like charm and becomes embedded n your Windows.
And it is free.

Image Resizer Powertoy for Windows. Adds an option in your right click menu to resize photos.

Highlight all the photos, right click on one and click resize. Select size/options you want.

Keeps the originals.

I used to use that with xp, but it doesn't work in vista. VSO image resizer does though.

+1 For Vista :) Preferred the XP Powertoy but I think this is the best we gonna get for Vista

Just out of curiosity: why do you want to resize them?

Knowing Wayne as we do (Bless him) his 5 different cameras are probably all set at max quality and fineness for images, he took a million pics in the states, and every pic is 15Mb in size, and he only has an 40Gb HDD in his PC.:D
