Aye guys, for the frontend. What is your goto responsive framework you use for your sites.

From what I've heard is that Foundation gives you way more control for customizing than Bootstrap does.

Bootstrap was nice, but lately every second site looks the same

I'm a back end developer and I hate styling. But when I do, I also found Bootstrap to be easy. Even better if you use LESS.
Problem is there are a lot of Bootstrap sites out there that look the same, and a tip I read is to make your Bootstrap not to look like Bootstrap.

Are you going to use a CMS or is this just static pages?

I'd go with foundation. Personally my favorite css framework.

I mainly use Bootstrap but I've been looking into Foundation and it looks great. Can't go wrong with either.

I did travelgo in Foundation, but I'm switching to Bootstrap now. Nothing wrong with Foundation, I just know Bootstrap better. I really think those two are the best.

What did you use for the search function

I wonder, with regards to people saying all these bootstrap sites look the same - I think that's more a case of people following design trends than the bootstrap framework itself?

I'm a graphic designer who is new to the development game and so far as I can see the only impact that using botostrap should have over the end design is when it comes to developing for mobile it makes life a lot easier.

I am currently working through "Build Your First Website with HTML and CSS" on Learnable.com and the end product looks very much like a "bootstrap" site - except it's built on standard HTML and CSS.

On that note, I guess it all depends on who your target market is and what the purpose of the site is, but for the most part I think you're going to have to get used to these sites looking the way they do because many of these trends are here to stay for the long run.

Thought this was a Bootstrap vs Foundation thread ;-)

There's nothing special to it, it just searches a few pre-defined db fields while typing and also auto-suggests places in the area that you're searching for.

I want to learn how to do that :) !!

As long as you never, ever think it's a good idea to start suggesting at character #1 (ie: loadshedding site) - Let the guy type at least 3-4 characters before suggesting. (At least you'll save on bandwith, resources and also know that the guy can spell - even if it's just a little bit)

I am writing everything down.
