Retropie Controll

I am busy installing Retropie on my Pi3 for the kids. Can anyone recommend a cheapish controller that works fairly well. I'm not fussed about bluetooth / wired.

I don't want to get a expensive one as the kids can get rough with these things.

Also where would be a good place to look for one?

Dont, go to Cash Crusaders or your local chinese **** house and buy some of the PS3 knock-off controllers. Much better, cost like R100 and do the job fine, i have 3

I did get one, a shanwan type but I am struggling to get all the keys working in game
