Can someone assist

I have a failed Seagate 3TB Skyhawk drive that was used for recording CCTV. It recently failed, and although being under warranty, I cannot trace whether I bought it from FirstTech or whomever.

I have created an RMS with Seagate, however, I have to pay the shipping to the UK which is crazy as it is most likely easier and more cost effective to just replace it. Is there a distributor or someone in Cape Town who can help me with a local warranty replacement since this drive was definitely bought in SA

Call Rectron & Pinnacle, give them the serial number.

Even if it's not Rectron they might do it for you for a small handling fee.

Try taking it to Rectron. I know in the past they used to assist with RMA of hard drives not purchased from them.
