Even so, the majority of protesters are not from Africa / Russia / India / China which make up the majority of the worlds population. If you add the populations of all the countries who have staged protests you might just crack the 1 billion mark if the entire country was protesting. Obviously this isn't the case and it's less than a few percent of the population. The ones who are protesting are also not poor or struggling. They just want an easy life without working for it. IMO it's equivalent to the ANCYL marches screaming "We demand...."
So billions?!? of starving?!? people. Really?!
Yes. there are billions of starving/poor people across this planet of ours, if you haven't noticed.
This is not only happening in the US my friend, this is happening all over the world.
In fact, It has already happened to many countries, if you haven't noticed that either.

In my opinion, if America revolts, there are PLENTY of other countries worse off that can *possibly* follow. (Africa, South America, Asian Countries, etc)
The reason I say possibly, is because once one man set himself alight and it started, other countries saw what happened and followed suit, like a chain reaction.
This is NOT an issue about America, this is about an issue for 99% of us on EARTH. we are all suffering to corrupt politicians. we have been lied to and they are profiting on our slavery, when they should be protecting us.

So now OWS is claiming responsibility for all of those mostly independent revolutions? Come on... Most of those guys have never heard of OWS and at least one of those uprisings was prompted because a guy set himself on fire because the government changed a law which would require him to get a license which he could not afford or lose his job. That has NOTHING to do with OWS. OWS are a bunch of spoiled brats complaining about how terrible the world is over their broadband internet, blackberries and iPhones.
So OWS (occupy wall street, wall street, wall street, wall street...) is not an issue about America?
Do you think 99% own an iPhone or HBO?
As for "risk missing a meal", all I can say is look around you.
We middle class people with our iPhones, SataliteTV, twitter and Spur might not see it in our daily lives, but there are people ALREADY missing their meals. there are plenty of them in fact. :erm:

America has the most well fed poor in the world. Sorry the majority of yanks aren't going to risk life and limb for the worlds starving.
It's an issue about freedom.
freedom of speech, freedom to protest without brutality, freedom not to be arrested and detained without trail.
It's an issue about Corporate Greed.
1% own all of the pie and 99% own nothing.
It's about the Corporates funding the Puppets to pass these laws, in their favor.
It's about Corrupt governments stealing OUR money.
It's about those who control what content/news we are allowed to see, to keep their status quo.
It's about those in power that send armies of people, to attack other armies of people - all in the name of the mighty dollar.
It's about Federal Reserve System, that is fundamentally flawed in it's design.

More likely he has to work or is looking for work. Only yuppies have the time and can afford to turn private and public parks into communes smoking pot, banging drums, playing with their Ipads and defecating under tress
They aren't, they are fighting for their own freedoms and survival.

You're missing the point. The majority of Americans are trying to live their lives.

It starts with a few being upset, then a crowd, then hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands, etc...
I'm not going to "convince" you that there is unrest in this world.
If you are happy with your sons University fee's, banks & morgages, medical/dental bills, Taxes & Tolls, crime, corruption, monopolies and greed, then go ahead and "get on with your life"

The want the Warmongering to stop. They want the System to be fixed. They want their Freedoms to remain. They want the people who stole their money to be held responsible.
Unfortunately they (just like us, and every other nation) has been duped into believing that the NEXT President will fix all our problems.
Maybe it was the fact that Obama didn't promise what he would do (bring back the troops), maybe they just had too much HOPE in him and he was again, just like the rest of them - a puppet.
Thanks to the internet, people are finally finding out the truth.
The ballot means sh|t, the people running for president are all controlled by the same Corporations and greed.
