RIP Charlie Kirk

Disliking and mocking a president or vice president is not the same thing as hating what a country stands for. You should be 100% free to criticise, or even mock, a public figure like the president without retaliation from the government. Especially in the US.

It's the same energy as shooting Charlie Kirk because you don't like what he has to say. Living in a free society means tolerating people saying things you don't like.
I was referring to celebrating his assassination.

You're being logically inconsistent to farcical levels
Since when is criticism of a president or a "political commentator" hating the country?

In fact, off to ignore with you, this smells suspiciously disingenuous
I referred to celebrating Charlie's assassination.

Even the rubbish whoopi goldberg has realised the savages of her political party has gone too far

She's doing what every losing general election candidate does after a loss.....

... damage control.... by saying we are all in this together and we need to put our differences aside. to hold the country together.

This is playing straight into the hands of the anti-American Neo-cons.

Tone down the temperature but keep it on its society-destroying-mode setting. You want them at each others throats but not if it means people begin to consider splitting the jurisdiction in two. God forbid we parasites lose our host.

Question for the Lefties.... if the Right-wingers were to secede, would you choose to remain with the Neocons?

Or would you ditch them for a more traditionally Conservative new version of the USA?

How about just letting people be who they are? The ****...why is that so hard to get? Stop being such racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic twats that won't let people have autonomy over their own lives and bodies without shoving whatever religion into people's faces that can't give a crap about said religion and let people be. Mind your own ****ing business. Your religion dictates your life, no one else's.

The investigation of the posts comes as the FBI is already examining whether pro-transgender groups knew about Robinson’s plan in advance. That probe, first reported by the New York Post, includes Armed Queers SLC, whose logo features high-caliber rifle bullets.

Most on this forum would choose to remain in Gauteng or the Western Cape. Are you in the USA?

How about the alphabet people and transformers then stop shoving their ideology down everyone's throat. 🤷‍♂️

If Universities actually properly taught opposing views on things like they're supposed to, the students wouldn't be getting dunked on by Charlie Kirk all day as if they've never had any pushback, and we wouldn't be where we are.

Change my mind.
It's too late; critical thinking teaching should start in school. They weren't dunked on; they chose to debate him. The problem was that they thought they were arrogant enough in their thinking capacity. That is the part that the people who thought they were clever made.

That is exactly what Charlie said, so if the left didn't pitch up to debate him we would not be here. Stop drinking the poison, expecting the other person to die.

I don't think its proof that he wasn't racist I just think it is proof that what he said wasn't. I didn't know the man I can not say if he was or wasn't racist.

Ukraine, as always, keeping it classy:

Ironic coming from you. You’ve literally celebrated Ukrainian citizens being wiped out. Time to pull out your butt plug.

Why is it always this "with us or against us" mentality? A gay guy or a brown guy defending common sense doesn't automatically make them maga or Donnie lovers, wtf.

All the black and gay people coming out and defending this guy all acknowledge that whatever lies are being peddled about him is BS. They agreed with him on some things and not others, and that's ok. It doesn't suddenly make them maga and Trump lovers.

This is typical looney left reasoning. If you defend someone who disagrees with us, against us, it must mean you support them. It's what's driving people who were traditionally liberal, to become more conservative. Nobody can stand the nutjobs anymore. For someone who says they know little about US politics - why do you have such a strong opinion on Trump? It reeks of being told how to feel by the left-aligned media...

Nowhere in my reply to Shaun did I refer to Charlie Kirk, that was deliberate. I know too little to comment on him and his history, almost everywhere the information is fraught with bias, either for the guy, or against him. So I'm staying out of that. I was replying to Shaun's comment about what I said in the other thread.

High maintenance thots are worse.
Unfortunately there is no clear tell as to how high maintenance they are going to be. It becomes obvious after a month or two but there is no correlation between looks and maintenance.

You get ugly fatties that think they are a princess and hot woman that are very chill and fun.

Except it seems people are being bombed on for a lot less than celebrating his death. Just for not wailing and weeping about it. The hypocrisy is in any event evident for anyone to see - let's say Julius kicked the bucket, the exact same people who are all outraged now would be whooping and hollering and having a celebration for days. They'd suddenly remember to make empathy woke again.

Nobody deserves to be killed, no matter what their views and I condemn the shooter's actions unequivocally. Charlie seems to have been given Messiah status though, which is really strange. I'm surprised nobody checked to make sure he didn't come alive again on the third day.

In any event, the right in the US seem determined to cancel anything or anyone they disagree with. This started happening way before Charlie. Eg. Trump and news outlets, law firms, etc etc.
This is complete BS. If you just shut-up and have some common decency or even keep you inappropriate comments online anonymous then nothing will happen. There is no requirement for wailing and weeping.

How do you even work with a person like yourself. If I knew who you were I would be disgusted by you it would be extremely difficult to share an office with someone trying to justify murdering Kirk for his very centre views that wasn't radical in any way. I would assume you are just as crazy as the shooter.

These people do not belong in schools or near children or any kind of public service. They do not belong in mainstream newsoutlts.
I don't even think they should be allowed to work with food.

Now rightwing cancel culture doesn't go nearly as far as the left went. The left went way further than this.

I don't want to take their banking away or their right to speak or force them to be unemployed. They should just go and find an more appropriate job.

You were responding to a post mentioning the denying of visas on the basis of criticism of the president and his buddies. You were justifying that action by saying through that criticism you can tell what sort of person they are (that they hate the US). At least that was my take away from your post. If I've misunderstood it I apologise.

To be clear: No. You can't tell what a person thinks of the US based on what they think about Trump. It's not justifiable to deny someone a visa because they think the president is a clown. If there's anywhere on the planet where thinking the president is a clown shouldn't invoke retribution from the state, it's the US.
