In fact yes. Watch some good videos by TIK History online. Hitler nationalised many private enterprises and put them under NSDAP control. He also introduced various socialist policies to help 'his people'.

Communists were a competing ideology.

Hitler also saw the communists as controlled by the Jews. So he had an especial hatred towards the Commies. Hitler saw Jews in the "Jewish capital" of the US and Western Stock Exchanges and he saw Jews in the Comintern.

What does an Islamist state enforce?

State religion. State sexism. Laws based off Biblical passages.
The ban of all religions including atheism.
The outlawing of free thought and science.
All public schooling becoming Christian schools.
State-controlled media.
Unwavering, unquestioning loyalty to the flag and ruler.
Seeing your ruler as "Divinely appointed" in some way.
The Church ruling every aspect of your life.
Racial purity and obsession with bloodlines.

The usual.

He has a point. Kirk was just racist and misogynist of note and can't really be compared to Putin or some such. Closest that comes is Malema but one could argue that Kirk was cleva not to sing any such songs advocating shooting a tribe.

African politics is confusing because it didn't develop naturally and it is a mismatch of bad ideas.

ANC is right wing in their support for traditional leaders and kings.

There commie economy policy and negative view of private property is also extremely left wing.

Adopting the worst ideas of both the left and right does not make them center. It makes them confused, stupid and incoherent.

I wasn't comparing Kirk to Putin at all. Someone else was making a comment that in some situations, assinations might be viewed as a good thing. He was talking about the case of Pol Pot, I simply suggested a current example.

I can only hope government officials will have some better Christian values.
America cannot with its current laws force religion on anyone and that is unlikely to change under the republicans. You guys just made fun of the hindu viking Indian. Nobody on the right cares what you believe.

Fascism knows no wing. It's an authoritarian government, which is why I asked (twice) about Stalin and Mussolini. And surprise, nobody gave a proper answer.

Racism also knows no wing. Malema is Exhibit A.

This is why this whole far left/right thing is hilarious. People don't even know what they're arguing for or against. By saying the far left/right is bad, you're actually arguing against economic policy (i.e. socialism or capitalism), not ideology.

Fascism sits on the liberty axis (more government control vs less), not the economic one...

That insinuates that this was a good assassination. But Kirk was no Putin launching an invasion, nor was he Hitler, Cray probably only knows from fanfics like Inglorious Basterds or video games - while people like me know from personal experience - but even there we all know from the movies and history classes what Hitler did. So it makes no sense to rationally bring anyone like that in a conversation about someone who debated kids in voluntary debates on college campuses. We can already see an element of peoples' potential approach to Kirk, that one brings in Hitler and Pol Pot to debates about whether murder of Kirk was OK or not OK, people have to bring Hitler in. Just condemn the murder of an innocent person. You don't have to agree with what he said.

Cray - learn some history dude. The NSDAP was socialist in policies, it was only not an international socialist movement but a socialist for his own chosen people, the Germans. Hitler hated Jews the most and blamed them for being both capitalist (he hated capitalists) and he hated Jews in the Comintern - and that would mean the German communists too, obviously.

But yeah if you know history you would know that the fascist are actually rooted in the same origin point. It all started with the French revolution. They were just realistic enough to recognize the commies were going too far. Then they grabbed power for themselves and did not kill millions in famines like the commies. They just murdered a few commies.
