Were they all breaking the speed limit at the time of their accidents?

The roads are not play grounds(despite what some cyclists on SS may say) so you shouldn't be "playing" with vehicles on the road. Thats what the track is there for.

Teen arrested in theft of part from Walker Crash

Detectives arrested a teenager accused of stealing some wreckage from the Porsche that "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was in when he died in a crash in California, and a second suspect was planning to turn himself in, authorities said.

The theft occurred as the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT was being towed from the accident scene Saturday night, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.

The investigation led detectives to Jameson Witty, 18, who was arrested Thursday at his home in Los Angeles and was being held on $20,000 bail, the Sheriff's Department said in a statement. A second suspect, a 25-year-old man whose name has not been released, was outside California and arranging to surrender, the statement said.

Witnesses told investigators that they saw someone driving behind the tow truck that was hauling away wreckage hours after the fiery crash that killed Walker and friend Roger Rodas, who was driving the car and also died.

The witnesses said a man got out of the car when the truck was at a stoplight, grabbed the part, and drove away.

Detectives identified the two suspects, and while serving a search warrant at a home in Canyon Country, a community north of Los Angeles, they found a red T-top roof panel from the Porsche, sheriff's officials said. They would not say what led them to the two men or what evidence they had against them.

Sheriff's detectives planned to meet with prosecutors to discuss charges.

It wasn't clear if Witty has an attorney, and no phone listings for family or associates could be found.

Walker, who starred in all but one of the six "Fast & Furious" blockbuster films that glorified fast cars and dangerous driving, was killed when the Porsche smashed into a light pole and tree then caught fire on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Sheriff's investigators are still trying to determine what caused Rodas to careen out of control and crash.

Paul Walker memorial in California draws thousands

The sounds of high-performance car engines filled the air Sunday as thousands of fans, friends and car enthusiasts headed to the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita to pay tribute to Paul Walker at the site where the "Fast & Furious" actor died in a car crash.

The memorial, planned through social media, was scheduled to begin at noon, but mourners began arriving hours beforehand to leave flowers, candles, stuffed animals and other tributes.

By afternoon, about 5,000 people, including entire families with children, dropped by, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said, adding that the gathering was mostly peaceful. A man was arrested after deputies spotted him carrying a partially hidden and loaded gun; and 40 citations were issued for illegal parking, Parker said.

Many arrived in cars built for speed, and the sounds of engines revving echoed close to where Walker and his friend died on Nov. 30. The event concluded Sunday evening with a cruise through the area 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Walker, 40, was killed when the Porsche Carrera GT he was riding in smashed into a light pole and tree and then burst into flames. The actor's friend and financial adviser, Roger Rodas, who was driving, also died. Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash.

The two had bonded over a passion for fast cars. They co-owned an auto racing team named after Rodas' custom car shop, Always Evolving, and Rodas, 38, drove professionally for the team on the Pirelli World Challenge circuit this year.

On Sunday, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies directed often-heavy traffic as mourners passed by the crash site on foot and in cars.

Many of the early arrivals parked in a nearby church lot, where they milled around and bundled up against chilly morning temperatures in the 40s.

Among those who turned out at the crash site early was Edi Maya, a gardener who worked in Walker's neighborhood and said he chatted with the actor from time to time.

"I work next to his house every week, twice a week. Seeing those candles there, it's heartbreaking," he told KABC-TV.

Actor Rick Yune, who co-starred with Walker in "The Fast and the Furious," also stopped by.

"We mourn his loss but ... we can at least remember how great a guy he was and celebrate his life," Yune told reporters.

Walker was in Santa Clarita for a fundraiser his charity, Reach Out Worldwide, organized for victims of the recent Philippines typhoon. The event took place at Rodas' shop, and the two stepped away for what was supposed to be a short drive in Rodas' car.

The limited-edition Porsche was previously owned by IndyCar driver Graham Rahal, who has said it could be difficult to drive.

Walker, the star of five of the six "Fast & Furious" movies, was the face of the franchise. He was making the seventh film in the series when he died.

Universal Pictures has shut down production while it contemplates how it might go forward without him.

Second man accused of stealing Walker wreckage is booked

A second man charged with stealing a piece of the car in which "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker died has surrendered.

Authorities say 25-year-old Anthony Janow surrendered Tuesday at the San Fernando courthouse. He was booked and released on $60,000 bail.

His attorney's name wasn't released.

Walker and driver Roger Rodas died Nov. 30 when their Porsche crashed in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita.

Prosecutors say Janow and 18-year-old Jameson Witty stole a roof panel as the wreckage was being towed.

They were charged Monday with felony grand theft of personal property and two misdemeanors. They face up to 4 1/2 years in jail if convicted.

Witty also is free on bail.

The coroner on Monday released Walker's body to a Hollywood mortuary.

Wow! That's steep for bail compared to the sums the local pay.
