Recently a new gaming society was created at my school and I have come to you, the forumites of South Africa (and specifically the gamers who will see this) to ask what kind of rules we should be looking at for lan gaming.

Basically my school will be hosting various gaming events starting with an inter-house lanning event which still has to be planned and systems have to be upgraded etc.

What kind of rules should be put to discussion that would cover everything that goes on at a LAN?

One last thing: My school is Rondebosch Boy's High and the society is called RLGL, which stands for ROndebosch Lan Gamers League. This hasn't been discussed much but can anyone think of anything else we could use?

No porn, get the games beforehand, no leeching while playing.

Very important, no "other" devices are allowed to be plugged in. Like heaters etc. Unless you want to blow something.

I will have a server available for users to leech off. And I'll be running a Strong DC++ server for sharing so users can limit the network usage for leeching.

Well seeing as it's a society in my school, no. We will be playing against other schools eventually.

Just found out, we're having a lan on the 28th of august and non bosch okes can come. R60 entrance and refreshments will be sold.
