Rmvb to Avi/xvid

Hi i've got some HQ Rmvb files that i want to convert to avi/xvid that i wants to play on my divx dvd player.What's the best converter to use.I want the avi file also in good quality.

Also: make sure your dvd player can play xvid AS WELL as divx before you convert to xvid
