A suspected robber has died after being shot by two female constables.

His alleged accomplice was arrested early yesterday morning after the pair forced petrol attendants at a filling station to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two constables responded to an armed robbery at a petrol station in Valhalla in Centurion.

They arrived on the scene just as two armed suspects were about to flee.

When the gunmen saw the officers, they opened fire. The policewomen responded. One of the robbers was killed in the gun-battle.

His alleged accomplice was arrested and will appear in court soon. Police are still investigating whether more suspects could have been involved in the robbery.

They’ve asked anyone with information to contact crime stop. Anonymous tip-offs can also be sent to Primedia’s crimeline on 32211.

They let one live - that is only a 50% success rate.
 
Great News - even more so hearing that it was police women in the fray...
We need more of this kind of news, "No tolerance policy to crimes with weapons" just kill em onsite and clean up the mess, then move on...
 
they used to say "1 bullet , 1 boer ". But those were the bad days .
 
or yeh sorry . But I still remember something of that nature .
my point is that maybe we should just get rid of our violent culture . There is so much violence around whether its the criminals or the ordinary people . I just wish a solution could be found for guns .
