Just a general questions did we SA take any measures to disarm after aparthied ? plus did we give any counselling to both warring parties after a long struggle ?

What guns do the police have? Like the hand guns, those, what look like machine guns etc? Do they also have guns such as sniper rifles and what make are they and where they made? Just wondering as i know nothing about guns Thanks
