So I've been running Netflix on my Roku 3 + Unotelly. Had a power outage while at work and now Netflix has my region as being outside the US even after a Unotelly IP update.

So now I can't view Netflix on the Roku but it still works on my PS3, browser and the app on my iPad and iPhone.

How do I get the Roku to run Netflix again?

ED: Just found another thread with someone having the same problems. Solution was to update my DNS servers...

From Netflix ...
Press Home button to navigate to Roku Home Menu.
Highlight the Netflix application and press the star key on the remote.
Select Remove channel.
Once you confirm by selecting Remove channel again, the device will be deactivated.
Deactivating the Roku 3 in this manner will remove the Netflix channel from the main menu. To restore it, simply launch the Channel Store and select Netflix.

You could also try to do a Factory reset from the Settings menu on the Roku Homepage

I saw a thread yesterday with a similar issue, looks maybe like Netflix is hard coding their DNS. Mine is not affected though so I don't know if this is the case.

One solution would be to just set up all routing for port 53 to go to your UNOtelly servers, instructions would be different for each router though.

I thought that he might be having problems with the latest firmware so suggested that he try to reinstall his Netflix. It seems that some customers are having problems with the latest update. I see that my Roku HD is now running the latest Version 5.4 Build 3359. My Netflix is luckily still working.

Found the solution in this thread

Seems Unotelly has changed their dns servers
Just go here to check the dns servers (I used CPT and JHB) and update them in your router.

Netflix started working again as soon as I'd updated. Didn't have to do anything with port 53 (not that I even know how to...).
