Hi
Can't get netflix to work on my roku 3 anymore
Been working flawlessly for more than a year
It's working on all my other devices which includes a roku streaming stick, Fire TV, Apple TV etc.
Keep getting an error which says netflix not available in this country. Using unotelly with Jhb and Cpt servers and static routes 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 enabled.ive restarted the device and re/installed but to no avail.
Any ideas
Thanks in advance

I noticed that the newest update to Netflix on Roku seems to try and bypass Unotelly/DNS, you need to add an IP Filter to your firewall to completely block 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

If you look at your static routes, you may see that the Roku/Netflix has added some routes of it's own to bypass yours.

You need to block the other two IP addresses as well.

Thanks for the responses
i have set up static routing for 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
can you please explain how to go about the rest to get it working again on a mac.
thanks so much

Hi I've tried that now - still doesn't work - think I must be doing something wrong

hi
thanks for the help
seem to have it sorted now
i also changed my router a few weeks ago
changing the gateway from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 seemed to do the trick

If you ping those addresses from your computer do they all timeout?

Hi There,

I recently purchased the Roku 3 4230r, I've been searching the net non stop and fiddling for the past 2 days to get all the DNS settings right.

I've subscribed to Unotelly, added the 4 static Routes as mentioned above, as well as the primary/secondary DNS IP's.
Im using Telkoms 4mb line, with a D-link 2750u Router.

Whenever I try activate my Roku it comes up with an error code 001 or 003, but sometimes can get the device linked to my profile.

I have also registered with Roku and Netflix with a US address etc as mentioned in all the posts.
My problem is that I cannot access Netflix because of the regional setting issue?? When I check my IP address, it still says location Johannesburg?

Please help anyone??
