Roku 3 tips and discussions.

Found a guy with a roku 3 from the USA for 1400

Good price?

From USA not an issue?

Sealed in the box apparently...

Ok so I said no to 1400 and he said he would give it to me 1200,sealed,with receipt.

Still go the Amazon route?

What does the Amazon route work out to now with our poor exchange rate?

guess 1200 sealed in the box is a good deal then, I will go with it!

sorry if this is a stupid question, but what about power? USA use 110v if I recall correctly. The adapter that it comes with, does it support 110/230v? Or am I going to have to go buy a step-down transformer lol

Nope, just plug it in. Mine's just plugged into a universal converter.

I sure hope you are right lol :)

Otherwise... BOOM!!!
Both of my ROKU 3's were plug and play - I just bought the travel adapter from game for the pins to be converted to our plugs. No boom in almost a year for my lounge one.

I would wait for a takealot voucher and buy from them rather as local warranty support is very cool although besides my remote issue, both Roku's have given no trouble

Have to say I'm impressed with the Streaming stick compared to my Roku 1. The netflix app is so much better I might have to get another one. I paid a little more since it came from the UK but at least I get a 12 month warranty.
