Hi all. I was thinking of getting a roku, (not the local one), but wanted to ask advice. I have a vodacom fibre router, and can't get in to it to input getflix DNS settings, so I was wondering if the Roku lets you do that? I don't want to be limited to local netflix. I want to use iplayer and All4 etc.

As far as I know, no you can’t set DNS settings on Roku unfortunately.

I have the Premier+ one and all you can do is view network settings. It pulls everything from the router.

That's annoying. Stupid Vodacom routers. Would be so much easier just to put the DSN settings there, instead of every single computer or peripheral. Thanks for the info, though. I appreciate it.

And the roku uses 8.8.8.8 to verify anyway, even if you use a dns that fools it.

Just stick another router in-between and use that.

has anyone else here used a roku with something like getflix to get overseas channels, or is there a better solution?
