Roofing quotes Cape Town

Very nice. That insulation will make a world of difference. I wish the c0nts that built my house would have done that.
I hope so. The other option was putting a bigger AC in that room, as the one that's in there now from the previous owner is woefully undersized. I might be able to get away with the smaller one now, we'll see. Either way I'll be saving energy.

But shame, the wind is howling here again like usual. Their ladder managed to blow over at one point and they were both on the roof. Good thing I had another ladder

So funny how different our safety standards are here in SA compared to Europe and the US. Cost of labour is proportionally less than overseas though, so guess that makes sense.

Looks great from the pics. Seems like it's quite a quick job to put in klip-lok . 1 day to replace the roofing panels and 1 for the waterproofing? What was the square meterage?

Yes, they were quick. Not a huge area but not tiny (6.7m x 7.8m), but I've seen other contractors drag their feet on the simplest things. They had 4 guys working on it on the Monday, then two guys to do the flashings on the Tuesday.

Also didn't take long from me accepting the quote to the job getting done, I confirmed the quote on Jan 31st (late afternoon), job complete on the 14th Feb.

Thanks, this has all been very helpful. I will get them to quote for my roof.

Tell Thomas that Tim from West Beach recommended him and he better do a good job

You can also get Levenbach Building and Roofing to give you a quote. Morgner we’re cheaper for me but it might differ depending on the type of job.

Just put in my deposit for the next phase (the remainder of the house).

This is working out to be a very expensive year, did the one roof, then the solar now the rest of the roof :X3:

And I still have a thatch lapa that needs attention very soon. I should start playing the lotto.

Nice, remember the pics.

Yep, I'll take some myself this time as it's all single storey which I don't mind climbing up on. Climbing up the double storey is a bit too sketchy for me with this Weskus breeze we have here.

Morgner Roofing are busy putting the finishing touches on my roof this morning. I've been impressed. Pricing was better than everyone else, and this has been the first contractor that I've worked with in years that I've found nothing to complain about i.t.o. the quality of the workmanship.

Yep, been very happy with them.

What type of roof is yours?

It was asbestos and it was leaking. Good riddance.

It's now plywood board with torch coating and the silver reflective stuff is going on at the moment. It's a flat roof with box gutters and parapets. Pain in the backside IMO, I'd prefer a pitched roof, but this is what I've got.

Oof, you must be happy that old roof is gone.

Same roof as mine, minus the asbestos. Flat roof is a pain, but I'm doing mostly kliplock sheeting and the reflective stuff on the one building so it should be good for a good number of years to come.

Who handled your asbestos removal? Was it also Morgner or somebody they contract with?

I have a friend that wants to get rid of their asbestos roofing too.
