No loadshedding today , but load reduction

Yes luckily no loadshedding, but actually loadshedding. No loadshedding today , but load reduction
The only option is probably to generate your own or to emigrate. Our municipality is corrupt for sure, but not sure what we can do.
Every now and then the people that actually want to work gets chased out of their municipality or tear gas is thrown in the offices, so there is so much infighting that nothing gets done.
But yeah, the brain dead will keep voting for the anc, so nothing we can do.
If it is anything like yesterday , 2 hours on ,2 hours offYes luckily no loadshedding, but actually loadshedding.
Had our first 2h one from 6 to 8. Can only wonder when the next will be.
Viva ANC.
Yes according to what I've read also, it is illegal to do this. But what do we stand to do?I'm also getting it, it's horrible. Thought it was illegal to something like this?
00:00 to 04:30 and now 08:00 to 12:30
They seem to be adding plus 2 hours each loadshed.
I'll complain about it while I don't have the financial means to also get solar. I'm also just complaining about the extra two hours of loadshedding on top of the normal two hours. 4 hours is a long stretch.Fitted an extra 4 solar panels and bigger battery. Complaining about load-shedding is pointless, you must do something about it yourself
Basically this...whole country is screwed, will remain screwed and will always be screwed as long as the cANCer runs free, therefore you need to supply everything yourself or make a move and leave if able to....Fitted an extra 4 solar panels and bigger battery. Fcuking sad, my problem is I have a flat on my property for my mother in law so we have two geysers, and I guess I'll have to get a huge system to cover both properties.Basically this...whole country is screwed, will remain screwed and will always be screwed as long as the cANCer runs free, therefore you need to supply everything yourself or make a move and leave if able to....
Those are about the only two fabulous choices we have....
How about a gas geyser for MIL side?Fcuking sad, my problem is I have a flat on my property for my mother in law so we have two geysers, and I guess I'll have to get a huge system to cover both properties.
The ANC has done three things for my town.Eskom does load reduction on areas that are supplied directly by Eskom, if the location doesn't get load reduction it's because they probably don't meet the requirements for load reduction, not because it's full of ANC voters.
I guess that is a good start. Problem is we have very hard water lots of lime in the water, so not sure hoe long a gas geyser will last. How about a gas geyser for MIL side?
Almost sounds like we're in the same town, because that is exactly what happens here in Lichtenburg also. The ANC has done three things for my town.
Sabotage the people who actually get things done.
Steal all the funds.
Fighting and intimidating each over who gets to steal the money.
The only province that seem to have paid their debt is Western Cape.
Think it's time I make a plan to move.
How are you going on with the elements..A guy I used to work for basically had to change his once a year with all the lime in the water his side....I guess that is a good start. Problem is we have very hard water lots of lime in the water, so not sure hoe long a gas geyser will last.
I don't really have a horse in this race but you can treat the water relatively cheaply, cheaper than a replacement geyser would cost. But you would need to send the water for analysis first, to determine your TDS count and which minerals/elements need to waai.I guess that is a good start. In the geyser there is that rod that is supposed to attract most of the lime, otherwise it's clean out the geyser every time I need to replace the element. In the house we use store bought water for kettles ect.How are you going on with the elements..A guy I used to work for basically had to change his once a year with all the lime in the water his side....
This is a good idea. I will try to find out who can analyze the water for me, and see how we can go about. Thanks for the advice.I don't really have a horse in this race but you can treat the water relatively cheaply, cheaper than a replacement geyser would cost. As an example, you can use a chlorinator to knock iron out of water, but any test lab worth its salt should be able to provide you with solutions to tackle the specific contamination that you are trying to resolve.
Good luck! This is a good idea. I will try to find out who can analyze the water for me, and see how we can go about. Thanks for the advice.
Like you said R2k is not that much if you need to replace the geyser every year. But yes I do clean the geyser whenever I replace elements. But I really need to start checking out anything I can to start getting a backup system in place.Good luck!
The tests aren't cheap, I think around here it's R2k a pop give or take, but worth it in the long run along with the sacrificial anodes for the geysers that you mentioned above. Also very good practice to clean the muck out of the geyser when you do this so that you don't sit with crud in the geyser that accumulates after a while.
