Routers do make a difference!

D-LINK is STILL the best and you are right, routers do make a difference.

I run stable 10Mbps(Actually synch at 12Mpbs+)

I recommend any D-LINK(it just has to cost more than R400)

D-Link / TP-Link is the way to go for ADSL modems.

Unfortunately the SA D-Link website is down, and it has been incomplete for a few months before that.

avert, I'd love to compare the Linksys/Cisco ADSL modems, but so far I've had better SNR margins from the D-Link & TP-Link ADSL modems.
The other problem with the Linksys/Cisco ADSL modems are that they're rather expensive. Another excellent ADSL modem is the Siemens Gigaset SX762, which is also very expensive (R1200+).
