Roxette fume over queue at OR Tambo

They should get used to the fact that they're not famous anymore, chill out and wait in line like the rest of the plebs.
 
I wonder how many times the ANC has been mentioned in the comments judging by the other knee-jerk responses mentioned.
 
OT is not so bad. It has improved alot. Days other than Friday evening or Saturdays are not so busy.
Worst airports are definitely in rest of Africa especially when you need to get a VISA at the airport. Saudi Arabia is also bad.

Referring to Dar es Salaam perhaps ? Waited more than two hours a couple of times there. Then they charge you USD250 for the privilege to attend a business meeting (even though you're only staying 3 days)...

Personally I've always hated the international at OT but I'll admit I haven't been on one since the upgrades.

BTW still enjoy Roxettes music ( old not new ) so in the words of my Durban brethren, "turn salt" :p
 
Wow. Missed the part where they toured Zimbabwe and the DRC with their top notch airports. I like their music but please, Roxette, stay the **** away and don't come back. Meanies. :cry:

If Zille tweeted it, everyone would be 100% behind her and ask her to help fix the problem.... If Zuma tweeted the same thing (heavens forbid if Zuma used twatter) , the response would be similar..

But since a foreign musician said it, everyone goes on the offensive and plainly tells her to p1ss off.

This is clearly a case of "I can kick my dog, but you cant" - look in the mirror if you want to know what is wrong with SA
 
The last time that I departed out of ORT the queues were also a problem - this was in April.

They do need to get their act in order.

BTW : I have never waited at a foreign airport on departure !

Zille and Zuma's opinions actually matter. I don't need some has been group that we just hosted and payed money to listen to to tell us we are crap.

Hit and run? this whole event is recorded for eternity.... If your dad said the same thing on the internet about the airport would you reply with "shut up you has been" ? I seriously doubt it. I am not defending a k@k 80's music group (who are most probably more successful than ALL the myadsl members put together); I am defending common sense. The bitterness so many members have is quite disturbing. No-one tried to understand the circumstances, they all jumped on a reporter (sic?) who has a love of copy/paste from Twatter.. can you really call that reporting.

feel free to attack me, I love my 80's music; but it wont change how bitter and twisted so many are.
