After a couple of requests on tips on how I make money on Torn here we go:

The easiest way I guess is to watch the Trade chat for players that advertise “company hiring”. These players sometimes will pay 10k to 50k, depending on your working stats, per day. In my opinion this will take you ages to make money. This is a good start to gain some work stats though so it is still worth looking at plus you get some cash at least.

Now we get to how you really make money in Torn, buy LOW sell HIGH or at least at market price. There are three ways of selling items

1. By initiating a trade with a player
This is the cheapest way of selling your items, the only thing you need is a lot of time. You will have to advertise in the trade chat. For example: 20 Xanax at 750k each start trade. Now this would take you some time to sell if your price is too high. Plus you can only sell the items if you advertise constantly and are online. They have tried to scam proof this part of the game but you still need to be careful when you trade with players with this method because you can still be tricked if you don’t double check the trade quantities and values.

2. In the item market
Selling items in the item market means you don’t have to be online to sell your items to other players. The only downside to the item market is that it will cost you 3% of the value you are selling the item for to place it in the item market. For example if you want to add a Xanax for 800k you will have to pay 24k upfront to list the item. This reduces your profit margins dramatically which means you have to buy really low to make any type of profit.

But there is a way of getting around this. Apply for a job at a 5 star property company (make sure you tell them you are an active player otherwise you won’t get a job easily if you have low working stats). One of the benefits of working at a 5 star property broker is that you don’t have to pay the 3% fee anymore giving you better profit margins and in my opinion the best return on your money.

3. In your own bazaar
For this you would obviously require a bazaar and that will set you back 250 points. Once you have a bazaar you still have to advertise the fact that you have a bazaar in order to get customers to buy from you. Pretty much the same as option 1 but it is much safer and no risk someone trying to scam you by entering a wrong quantity or amount.
So what products should you buy and sell? There’s junk and then there’s useful items. Items that are useful in the game include meds, drugs, crime enhancers and stat boosters. I am listing some of the meds and drugs that sell fast here but there are many more other items which you will pick up as you go about trading.

• First aid kit (meds)
• Small first aid kit (meds)
• Morphine (meds)
• Ecstasy (drug)
• Vicodin (drug)
• Xanax (drug)

This would be very useful if you are below level 15. Once you get to level 15 you can fly to other countries and buy these items at the same price as the most of the traders in torn.

I hope this helps those interested

If you want text-based try out www.bots4.net. The game is in open beta so most of the community is inactive but it will be officially launched soon. It's an old game, Bots2 that has been revamped a bit.

I've been playing this game for the last couple of weeks, my user name is shanks0100.
Its pretty cool I just mugged someone who was on level 2 and hasn't been on for 400 days and stole 32 000 from him.
So now I've got some nice weapons.
