When I was a dumb kid in school, sure.

But with age comes wisdom. So no. Currently no pirated software, music, or games, and I've never used a levelling guide. Although that would be fine in my books, if the guide was either paid for, or free to dl by the author.
No skin off my teeth if you believe me or not. Your seal of approval is probably the last thing I need in this world.

btw i really need a new pc, yours is probably better than mine, so do you mind if I come to your house over the weekend and indefinately, er, 'borrow' yours? And the best part, you can just claim from insurance, eh? Everybody wins!

Hi all maybe I am late in this conversation but had too say something.

1: WAY WAY 2 much AGRO on this thread.
Is it realy neccisary.

2: Chill peeps.

I am also an advocate of using non - pirated software and games etc but am not gonna give myself a heart attack or stroke because some - one I know uses pirated goods.

It's wrong we all know that, so get over it and dont make a fuss.

Why I personaly would not advocate playing on a private server is pretty simple.
PS Note only been playing WoW for like 6 Weeks.

1:WoW is a realy cool game with a great community.
2:You get to meet peeps from all over, example [Did a Razorfen Downs run with 2 people from Turkey one from Scotland and an Italian last night].
3:Blizzard has done a job well done and deserve to be rewarded so I will pay for the privelage.
4:These guys keep their servers Virus free,well maintained and running 24/7 except on rolling restart wednesdays :)
5: I like the game :P

Anyways why the #ell you guys fighting bout pirated / non pirated wow get on with the game and have your own fun.

That is the reason I play wow, and even though I take a piss at kHanye, I respect him still as a fellow player :p

I only pay to play because there is little to no buggs, I can join any BG or arena and play.

If not I would have played an EMU server tbh ;)

Use it or don;t use it, let the people who play EMU play EMU. It doesn;t bother me much ;)
 
Normally I wouldnt be this aggro about the issue. One of the last people I'd rage at, for one, is Pit.
Like most piracy and related stuff, it is mostly harmless - if it's on the downlow.
But having these threads shoved in my face every second thread lately, _IS_ starting to get on my tits.

Seriously. Just go peddle that crap elsewhere please. My message to these panhandlers : quit trying to ninja official players onto your garbage emus. We're quite happy where we are. Get it?

No way any person that has played official would ever go to play EMU ;) EMU players do tend to come over to our side :)

I realise this, but it sure as sh*t doesnt stop these people from trying. In the last couple weeks there have been something like half a dozen threads advertising emulated servers alone, and they all go the same way, people saying not interested, gtfo, etc.
Take a damn hint, losers. Nobody here wants your buggy, crappy, mongoloidal warez. As proven by your alltime server peak of 3 guys and a lost bot.

Man, if theres anything that pisses me off more than the 'u play Wow ur a loser at real life lol' trolls, it's children spamming their grubby ass basement 'servers' (gief 'donations' for 'hardware upgrades' plix lololol). I should probably chillax more (too old to be getting stressed over dumb crap after all)... but man. I have a chronic allergy to stupidity.

Fair enough. But convincing most normal, honest folk that theft is alright, is always going to be an uphill struggle.
My only difficulty is convincing people that it _is_ theft in the first place. It should be easy enough to do, and yet...
There's this pervasive notion that permeates south african middle class white society, that piracy is not theft.
And it boggles my mind. Very often these same folk would balk at the idea of buying a bootleg Bok Van Blerk CD, for ex.

I saw some of them have cluster servers of 5-6 servers with over 2k people per server! Costom npc's and 250 level cap, why wait for Wotlk to get to level 80 :p you can get emu servers with it running already!

Pitbull why don't you share with us some of the ways to call for free on MTN's network. They will not even feel the loss of income, advertising on a public forum such as this?
