RSAWEB reduces ADSL access prices

I use my line with other ISP's almost everyday.
If you read their terms and conditions, they state that should they detect you, they can bill you for the data usage as well .... not sure if they do / have the capacity ... but warning you so you dont get burnt, but yes you can use any ipc :)

How do you check what your line is syncing at again?
Your PC must be connected to your ADSL modem, then go to your gateway IP address (usually 192.168.1.1), login, then goto the stats page. It should tell you what you sync-ing at.

Cybersmart is line + 1 gig for R149 unshapped (also according to some ratings the fastest dsl provider)
RSAWEB is line + 1 gig for R158 unshapped
But the kicker is if you move your line to cybersmart you get an additional 5 gigs a month FOR FREE :) 4 6 months

For R149pm Sainet gives you the line + 10GB for free each month... for 6 months at least. Now if only I can figure out what on earth 'LITE' data is... :wtf:
Up to 384K ADSL line including 10 Gigs of Sainet LITE data for only R 149.00 per month
Up to 1Meg ADSL line including 10 Gigs of Sainet LITE data for only R 319.00 per month
Up to 4Meg ADSL line including 10 Gigs of SAINET LITE data for only R 399.00 per month

I had a chat with the CEO of Cybersmart, he says the reason that they say in their T&C's that you can't use other ISP's is cause they don't want to be on the receiving end of problems relating to other ISP accounts which would in turn cost more to run the customer support.

Could someone care to explain the math behind the whole 'Save up to 30% on your ADSL line rental' thingy?

Their line rental prices: (You have to pay them R29 to get access to the 'lower' line rental prices, hence it needs to be included in the price imo)
R158 384
R240 1024
R351 10240

Telscum:
R152 384 -3.95% Saving
R289 1024 16.96% Saving
R413 10240 15.01% Saving

Up to 17% saving would still fly with me, not 30%...

I pay R142 for dsl line rental only from Riebens Systems. (landlord pays the Telkom voice line rental)
R99 for 11GB from Afrihost - admittedly a once-off offer which I would like to hang on to.
= R241 for 11GB @384 Kbps.
For R211 I would get 1024Kbps line from RSAWeb,
R29 for 1 GB and R99 for my 11GB from Afrihost.
= R339 for 12GB @1024 Kbps

Do I want to pay the extra R98 per month for the extra speed + another 1 GB?

On 384 I don't reach my cap but I probably would on 1Mbps - which would mean buying even more GB's. Perhaps try, monitor the cap and look for another good data package to add on. But the costs are mounting towards going uncapped.

Moved from telkom to rsaweb. Took 4mb uncapped and 4mb line + 1gb super dsl to take the offer. Took 3 days to move from telkom - quick and easy.

Not planning on using for heavy downloads, just want to have the speed and know if I do need to download a 5gb file I could.

See I am on IS whe doing a speedtest. Ping to jhb site 16ms, snr 26, attenuation 30. Telkom lady said something about our lines been converted to fibre from the exchange to the box which, as she explained, apparently helps - did not sound like telkom would fibre upgrade?
