RTX 3070 pricing

Yikes didn't know card prices were this high now. I'm still running a GTX970 which I got for R5k back in 2015. Cards going for R10k+ seems insane when salaries haven't gone up by double or triple since 2015.

Lol. Things have stabilized over the last month or two with a 3070 for 12k. Since covid they have been close to 20k

A 3060Ti is going for R11 300 for a Palit...
I bought my 1080Ti which offers similar performance for R14K almost exactly 5 years ago. What seemed like a stupidly expensive purchase then turned out to be great value for money.

It is mostly compared to 3070ti. It depends on games. On AMD optimized games it beats the 3070ti. On Nvidia games it loses.

RTX and DLSS are advantages for Nvidia if you play games that support it (I only used it on Cyberpunk) but the 8GB vram even on the 3070ti is already an issue in some games. If I was buying now I would go 6750.
Even warzone easily uses 8gb vram, and DLSS cant be used warzone it just makes game blurry lol

3060Ti can still smack around a 1080Ti. I think once the 4 series comes out its time for most of us on the 10xx series to upgrade and those on the 9xx series really should.

Both my 1070's just packed up, so kinda stuck in the middle, don't think I can wait for the 40xx series...
