Rudolph Muller and Telkom

"We are never going get the economies of scale of the UK or USA," Hayward says. "So our costs are always going to be higher than theirs. That's why we feel that Muller's price comparison is unfair."

What about India you bunch of idiots.
If we are poorer than the UK and the USA,our prices should be lower not higher than those rich countries.

This Africa mind set is pissing me off,we can be just as good as those countries.

Ungrateful?

It gives us a clear idea of the customer centricism Telkom is talking about. ‘We don’t have to do anything, so be grateful if we give you anything’. No wonder Telkom’s is hiding away from public debates regarding these issues.

BTW: Nice exposure for MyADSL (even though the address is incorrect). Another interview on Cape Talk just after 2 pm.

Is that today? Then I will record and upload.

May I suggest that you quote the article to reflect the attitude of Telkom regarding their customers wishes?

And no matter what ungrateful people like Muller may claim, Hayward says, the price cuts have been "dramatic". While the costs will continue to drop, he says, they won't be quite as dramatic, so don't eye your London-based sister's Internet bill with too much hope.

Aah, it's all making sense now, he got crapped on by management for the bad marketing he did. :D

I also noticed that RPM didnt mention UK or USA but compared our telecom prices with other 3rd world countries

cape talk? So we can also listen to it on 702 right?

I am actually not sure... you should be able to, most of the content is shared.

Is telkom working for tips? wtf has gratitute got to do with anything anyway?

Sies rpm! How dare you not be grateful for the pittance given to you :D
I think we should all go out and say we're sorry to Telkom.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :D

Roffel.
Telkom, here's a tip: always wash your mouth with soap after you've spoken to the media. :p

By saying that, as fscked up as it may be, just shows me that telkom is starting to take notice of myadsl and it's people.

Dear Mr. Steve Hayward,
About the only thing that has been "slashed" is your credibility, again.
You are the one that should be grateful for de facto monopoly Telkom enjoys; with out it we ungrateful clients would surely be giving our hard earned money to your competitors. It would be instructive to see how you would foist your highly contended, capped, shaped and overpriced broadband solution (I use the term loosely) on us without the DOC and GVMT protecting you from competition.

I don't think RPM should be too fussed, or upset...the pro in this situation is the acknowledgement that there are "people" and lots of them that disagree with the less than barely competitive pricing recuctions we are so "lucky" to be afforded.

By the sounds of the comment made by this Hayward gentleman, it seemed a little more personal than professional. Is there possibly some truth in that?

Maybe he also had a really bad i-net day and realised he just got capped or something. It is a strange world...

Afrikane - Nice post dude. The signature is also quality stuff...

Recording 567 Cape Talk now... waiting for something to happen =/ Talking about Chuck Norris lol
