Dude, how can you expect us to sit and watch an 'upscaled' DVD (not as good as Blu-ray) with the horrendous chainsaw noise of the DVD drive. Just not on. Plus, the PS3 suits the 'future' HD look. The Xbox 360 is a cheap built stuk ***.

And the PS3 has a cheap ass graphics adapter. Well done, more for less! You'd think with all Sony put into the cell processor that would have put more thought into the supporting components.

Actually, I don't mind paying for the cables as they are cheaper than the Xbox 360 counterparts and do a better job (HDMI 1.3), plus that is a simple purchase away from noise-free HD. The Xbox 360s noise is unresolvable. With the PS3, I still have a choice of whether I want HD or not, but I can't choose whether I want a quiet 360 or not. It's pure ****. You are being blinded by MS, who are conning you suckers the whole way.

Old Xbox fanboi excuse to argue with people to only buy a real BIG HD screen. They are so scared you will notice the difference, see the Xbox just cannot compete quality wise with the PS3 HD, Only advantage the Xbox have is a few frames per second in some games. The rest is just well cheap skate. Is it not funny that it is mostly Xbox owners that bemoan the prices and argue that you only need a BIG HD TV. Just wonder what the real reasons are. A question of well... just no money and they forget that a Big screen is not always required as they play mostly on a PC screen anyway? Best is that the PS2 still sells well in relation to the Xbox360 thus many find more value there.

So yeah, The old upscale make no difference excuse. You need glasses. It depends where you seat. Right in front of a gaming screen you will notice unless you need better glasses.

Why do people buy the WII and PS3 but not the ELITE even in these extraordinary economic circumstances? Hmmm. Because for that money both the WII and PS3 offer more value. The only time the Xbox is worth buying is if you are broke and need at least something to kill the time with and thus free illegall games is becoming very attractive.
