Don't really see how thats relevant but thats allot of money spent on one place,

SITA does everything IT related for the Provincial Government (not Local Government). Still, most of the services are contracted out to other IT firms anyway, like all support staff for example. So there are actually a lot of competition here. And people do not realize just how big this network is. It includes every provincial hospital (state hospital), social services offices, and this is throughout the province.
PS 10 years ago I used to do desktop support at PAWC (Provincial Government).

At the top of that list for the year to March 2008 was chairperson Thenjiwe Chikane who received R566 430 for the year.

Vark'it she must be paying a helluvalot of tax on those earnings !!!
