Rural Zimbabwe empties

But you have land, is the mentality not that if you have land you will be rich?
30 years later and still nothing but still they vote for the master Mugabe every freaking time.

"We have to have hope. Maybe this time things will be better"

“Those white farmers we displaced had money to farm, but we didn’t so we failed.”

Nobody just has money. Somewhere along the line somebody worked to accumulate it and used it grow their farm.
You also need the relevant knowledge and skills to farm, money is only one part

Would it be fair to say that these Zimbabweans were generally more well educated than our local population since Zimbabwe for a long time had a higher education standard than South Africa?
Or is that reaching too far? I find that generally speaking (yes I know that is a generalisation) Zimbabweans and Zambians are better educated.

Unfortunately they are indoctrinated to believe that those with money either stole it or got it because they were white.

Some of the best acreage fell into ruin because senior ruling party officials who took it over had no farming expertise.
Bet this will be labeled as racist by our good friend ngwe23

Probs cause it is a fact

To add some context:

http://www.news24.com/Africa/Zimbabwe/We-must-learn-from-Zimbabwe-says-Malema-20140110

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has reportedly showered Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe with praise, saying there was no land reform system that had worked successfully for Africa other than Zimbabwe's land reform programme.

Speaking during a media conference in Johannesburg, Malema said in the next 20 years Zimbabwe would be the only African country where people owned their own land, according to a Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation report.

Malema said the Zimbabwean policy on land reform was a lesson to be learnt from and to be implemented in South Africa, “except the initial violent method of attacking white people or attacking each other”.

According to an Eyewitness News report, Malema said although Zimbabweans may be hungry and poor today, they could be proud of the fact that they owned property while South Africans had nothing to show as proof that they belonged to South Africa.

By educated you mean academically qualified or just merely literate?

Nothing proves in this context more than what we already know- that in these cultures, the ownership of land, is the determinant of status and wealth, because that is how it has worked in tribalism.

They want land, for the sake of having it, not that they care or know what to do with it. It makes them become superior to their peers. Its not much different to the white South Africans who are of a certain descent who also believe that having a trophy wife and a Toyota Fortuner gives them status and power.

Nothing will ever move forward in Africa until that mindset is completely erased.
