Rush is on for Model C schools

I disagree on Gautrain - I must say I am impresed that they are working hard on this every day of the week. Even the website is well maintained.

Not disputing that. According to their own admission it would not be ready for 2010 and some sections will only be done later, remember the whole idea was based on it. Cost planning is also a disaster. We will see the final outcome. BUT I must agree... AT ANY COST it is a start in the RIGHT DIRECTION.

Maybe by 2050 we will have some 1st world public transport infrastructure, if we have power to supply it :D

Was just curious, don't worry about it. Hope whatever it was is ok now though. ;)
Not Ok but in hand. Thanks.
In short. The emergency Ambulance services as supplied by Govt compared to private ambulance services (costly). There is just no comparison. I believe the Govt do not care about those that are in an emergency situation. Why should they, there are millions more in the country and one less means more for the remainder.

Yeah government ambulances are a joke, along with government hospitals I guess. Unfortunately if you can't afford private healthcare in this country you've got a major problem.

thats the de-facto logic in every decision made by the ANC for the last 12 Years. Dumping working institutions and replace it with worthless non functioning "trial and terror" structures.
Should we list:
Telkom and communications
ICASA
Poverty relieve
Housing schemes
Public services forward planning and estimation
BEE, AA (reverse racism)
Jail systems
School systems
Universities
Hospitals
Police departments
Crime prevention and specialist departments
Health care and Emergency services (just had first hand practical experience)
Public Transport thus Roads and rail structures, tollroads
Gautrain
2010 planning
And least but not last The correct punishment for true criminals, ie the Yengeni/Zuma effect.

Some justification of proof of the statement made here!

That rule was done away with for obvious reasons. We had big schools in the suburbs that had very few pupils and schools in the townships were overcrowded.
I'm going to put a bit of spin on this. The Model C schools were at capacity. The township schools were rediculously overcrowded. The solution was to cram more people into the Model Cs.
Result = both schools overcrowded, standards take a dive, teachers leaving for the UK ----- etc etc
