[S] Playstation 3 (60GB Version)

You need a step-down converter and that will be supplied at R200.

...

Price: R8300

That's an interesting way of saying it costs R8,500.

it's just common decency to not talk crap about a service being rendered.

BWAHAHAHA ! This forum was (basically) created to bitch about the "service" Telkom renders.

I don't see anyone else selling it here so you can't say it's a bad price.

It's a bloody horrible price (but then I think all PlayStation equipment is over-priced.), and I feel sorry for the sucker you con into buying this. 1 year factory warranty - WHAT factory? The one in the US where this POS comes from? WOW - I'm sure people won't mind paying for the shipping then waiting 5 months for their POS to be returned .....

Im not advertising.... im selling.

ja, and Telkom isn't raping us, they're having non consensual sex with us ...

This is a public forum yes but there is a difference between placing it in a discussion forum and a section which can be seen as a good place to sell stuff.

This IS a bloody discussion forum. Is the forum name "Advertise your over-priced crap here" ? No. It's called "General Hardware and Software" which is a sub-forum of "General IT Discussions". See that Discussions word there ? Go look it up.

Im not interested in the comments, im interested in finding a buyer.

Shame. You advertise in a public forum, expect the public to respond with their opinions. You sure you've used forums before?

================================================

The unit is region free meaning you can buy games locally when it gets released here.

You need a step-down converter and that will be supplied at R200.

You also get a one year factory warranty with the unit. Receipt included.

You also get a Talladega Nights Blu Ray free with the PS3.

Games can be bought through me at cost price.

Price: R8300 incl overnight shipping. (I know it's expensive but look what it goes for on ebay)

Your basically paying to own it first :D

8300? i would rather get a gfx card thanks

Assuming that it goes for $600 in the states, that means at R8500 we're getting it at an exchange rate of over R14/$

And then in a few months when it's released here, people who buy this POS would have to fork out even more for NTSC games (as if the price of the PAL versions wouldn't tear a hole in their arses already).

Sorry mate but that price sucks and I'd like to know how you managed to arrive at a price that's equivalent to twice the exchange rate. Just out of interest sake, how many people have ordered one already?

If you googled a bit you would see that Playstation 3 games are region free. I agree that the price is a bit steep but its not to high a price to pay to be one of the first people in South Africa not to mention the world to have a PS3. And yes I am a Sony fanboy.:D

Rendier I think its time to set up your own site.

I dont think you guys should pick on the seller, pick on the actual buyer who pays that price!!!

With R8500 I can buy a 8800GTX and some RAM! :D Like to see the first PS3 in RSA beat that performance...

Yes they are region free but then again that's because it's bluray (region coding was primarily for DVD's).

In countries that make use of NTSC signals, electrical power is generated at 60Hz so the NTSC signal is also sent out at 60 times per second. Taking into account the interlacing systems used in TV's, this translates to 30 images sent out per second, i.e. 30 frames per second.

In European countries (and here) we use a 50Hz power supply, so PAL signals go out at 50 times per second. With interlacing this translates to 25 images per second i.e. 25 frames per second.

NTSC/PAL and region coding have absolutely nothing to do with each other - one is a standard based on electrical transmission of signals and the other is just a standard that was implemented when DVD's were introduced to help curb piracy.

Evidently playstation fanboys aren't that technically inclined ;)

I dont think you guys should pick on the seller, pick on the actual buyer who pays that price!!!
Most definitely which is why I'd like to know exactly how many idiots have ordered this so far

Well they buy expensive consoles for expensive games that need to be replaced (not upgraded) every 2 years or so...they don't have the right knowledge:rolleyes:

Firstly, they are not going for $600,they are going for close to a thousand without shipping.......go have a look. Secondly games are region free, thirdly games prices are between R200 to R300.

Don't walk into an argument without doing your homework.....it makes you look stupid.

And your saying that whilst standing in a queue to buy a 8800GTX for R8000. Ha ha ha ha ha....that thing will be outdated faster than a PS3

I still said it......

I don't need to sucker anyone into it, I even said it's expensive you fool.....it's sold by the way! So much for your theory brainspark.

ja, and Telkom isn't raping us, they're having non consensual sex with us ...

I think you need to see a therapist, Telkom isn't out to get you bud and bitchin about how it's too expensive isn't gonna make it cheaper to talk to your cyber girlfriends...

Im sure I used your mamma before cause she bitched just like you!

..........to think......you could have saved 5 min. of your life typing a message to a guy who doesn't really give a damn about what you say....

PS3 is already outdated

BTW, i see these threads of your as nothing more than spam

It isn't as if you're selling the odd second hand item, you're selling new stuff, these threads are a lot like the ones person started way back. I don't understand how you can really get away with it, half of the threads you've started are to sell stuff.

Secondly games are region free, thirdly games prices are between R200 to R300.
oh and since when is the exchange rate R5 to the dollar?

Item sold

Thanx to all the haters for keeping this at the top of the Hardware section. It helped the item getting sold

Firstly the retail price is $600, so anybody willing to pay more to "own it first" are quite simply idiots. If you're looking to take advantage of the situation that people are willing to pay more to own it first, then you quite simply don't believe in consumer interests as you do about making a quick buck. If you really cared about consumers, you would boycott the thing until prices were reasonable enough to sell to them.

Secondly I already pointed out the difference between region coding and signal transmission standards. NTSC/PAL and region coding are not related. Perhaps you should do your homework as it seems like you've already walked into an argument looking stupid.

Thirdly, as pointed out before in this thread as well as in the ISP section, if you want to advertise then pay for a banner ad. We don't need another Person here.
