Get the P20 Pro, if you do not need the SPen of the Note.My S6 is dying after nearly 4 years so it's time for a change.
Looking at contracts in the region of R600pm (outright buying the handset and still adding on minutes/data works out more expensive).
Which should I go for?
Been using Samsung for very long. When I compared specs the P20 Pro looked much better. Don't have a need for S Pen on the Note, but added it in due to 6Gb ram. I'll be using the phone for 4 years or so if it survives as long as my S6.
Is your S6 also acting dog slow sluggish suddenly? My S6 is dying after nearly 4 years so it's time for a change.

Performance is ok. Battery life and charging time is the problem. Is your S6 also acting dog slow sluggish suddenly?
Like this past month my S6 started to act very suspiciously sluggish (no new apps or anything).
I wonder if Samsung is crippling the S6?

Telkom has a special on the dual sim Mate 10 pro for about R350 a month... now that's a bargain
He bought a phone 2 days ago already...It all depends what you need it for, and what you are going to use it for. Everyone uses their phones for different functions, and that may not be of interest for you. ie you may want to use it more for taking pictures, and less games. Or more for games and not for pictures.
With everything going up in price (fuel, taxes, interest rates). I would suggest you try to stick towards your budget more, or put the difference in an investment instead. So if you're going to just use it for taking basic pictures and not really gaming etc. Then even a P20 lite can do, and you can pick one up for under R4k, and invest that R4-6k extra in an investment for a rainy day.
Rather get a good buffer.
