What about not being anyone's puppet servants. I would prefer that, but if we have to choose, then yes. Rather the west that value personal freedoms just a little bit more than China.

Then say that instead promoting SA to be America's bitch. Ironic that an entity that apparently values personal freedoms is strong-arming somebody else to force them to act a certain way.

LOL don't get me started on all the BS America has done on foreign soil. They've already got their bases from countries they've bombed the shyte out of. Propped up dictators and despots for their own benefit. Local farmers getting devastated by aid and using aid to interfere in local political processes and and and.

The US is by no means innocent when it comes to foreign activities, even compared to China.

Whats wrong with Americans acting in mutual interests as opposed to China's self interests? If you donate funds and services to any party or person and those party or person keep on bashing you and go against you, would you keep on donating and supporting that party. Anyone doing so or expecting such favourable treatment is an idiot.

Americans suck at construction, quote me one major international contractor having built infrastructure out of the US. European and Chinese dominate that.

Since I can’t think of a port built by Americans, I can’t think of one being seized by Americans.

Legally the situation in Sri Lanka cannot happen in SA, as long as the law is not changed.
