There is a massive Aluminum smelter in Richards Bay. Hillside and Bayside smelters owned by South32. There was a Tata steel smelter too but closed down in 2016 due to steep electricity prices I believe.

They did support apartheid for a lot longer than they should have. Something to remember. The idea of an independent country is it should have the opportunity of expressing it's independence once in a while, not just accept orders.

As I said, a swap out of masters are in order. Dunno why you are all upset

Well, you're the one who seems to want SA to give up its rights to determine its own foreign policy to appease the US.

I'd much prefer a country that stands up for itself.

So the foreign policy is to carry on bashing the USA and not at all support them in any way or kind yet expect them to be kind by carrying on dealing with us. IMHO they should just ban all imports/exports from SA. Even remove their embassy. Then the crybabies should be satisfied it seems.

No, their foreign policy is to decide for themselves. Not take orders from their foreign masters, like you seem them to want to do.

The "bashing the US" story you have is just a show of your weakness and catipulation and inability to think for yourself. Rubber-stamping is what the weakest countries do
