China struggles to take care of themselves if the US don't buy their junk. The new world dream will fall flat before it gains momentum.
 
Since the Trade War started and taxes imposed on China, a lot of US-based companies started manufacturing in the US. China is suffering massive losses and this shows in their decline. We will still see the real effect this 'war' will have on China. So, it is working great for the US.

And the US can't afford to buy any junk unless the Chinese can afford to buy their debt.

There are many, many countries who would not hesitate to buy US debt over from China. In fact, that was a thread earlier by China and they were asked to do so. This would have been a blimp on the radar and everything would have been back to normal in weeks with new countries owning the debt. In fact, it would appear that China could not afford to sell of the debts.

If vetoing your ally, major trade partner and associate in NATO publicly at the UN is not a middle finger, I don’t know what you need.

I think you forgot the french bashing for months after it, about which France could not care less. I have yet see a SA bashing from the US.

SA votes against the US are inconsequential, SA is not in the security council.

Russia's been doing that for a century now, and China has on occasion. In both cases it works well enough for them, but they're somewhat uniquely positioned to take such risks, we are not.

It didn't work that well for Russia from WW 1 onwards they are only recovering now, which is basically the time when the US's power grew. But that wasn't really because anything the US did they just got infected with communism sadly.

The biggest impact so far is on US soy bean farmers, who got bludgeoned. Now the Trump admin has to bail farmers out because of the problem he created with the tariffs.
