SA has even bigger problems than Eskom - mining experts

This is very serious, mines losing money means closures, over and above the revenue loss (13 billion USD p.a.) that means over half a million mine workers without jobs, so more Marikana x 1000 :(

Sure, the biggest problem for mining might be transnet

But the number one question for everyone else should be. How is our water and sanitization systems doing? Without electricity I'm guessing not all that wonderful.

Without mining, the economy collapses and the rand will go the way of the zim dollar imho.

“We realise that we can only solve crises like this if we cooperate with the private sector.”
You and your cadre deployment created this crisis. Like every other crisis SA faces. The only way to solve it is for the ANC to be kicked out of power. Turning to the private sector will do nothing when you continue to loot the tax paid portion and impose your stupid "transformation" laws on the private sector. All you are going to end up with is a monopoly BEE company who will do even more damage.

Where the unions on this? Are they making any noise about it, cause I haven't heard any? Or can they not see the bigger picture? Yeah, no surprises there, as you were...
It says at the end of the article ... the unions position is to strike and demand more money. They don't care abou the bigger picture, they only care about money in their pocket NOW.
