While still being able to keep up with all the payments for debt created by the DA.
Good on her but I really don't trust accountants after Nigeria doubled its GDP after recalculation. I know it was way more complicated than simple accounting but still. While still being able to keep up with all the payments for debt created by the DA.
Their spokesman who sits in the finance committee explained the process in detail, while ASA were busy fcking up. - Police are investigating allegations of intimidation against Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.
- The probe comes after the mayor became involved in a spat between his mother-in-law and her neighbour in Edgemead, centred on the latter allegedly running an illegal car repairs business from his home.
- The mayor says subsequent visits by municipal officials were part of a standard land use inspection process.
The police are investigating allegations of intimidation levelled against Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis after he became involved in his mother-in-law's spat with her neighbour.
After Hill-Lewis' mother-in-law complained about one of her Edgemead neighbours allegedly operating a car repair business from a residential property, the mayor, who lives in the same area, wrote directly to the resident, accusing him of violating municipal bylaws.
"I have a strong suspicion, and I think the evidence is clear, that you are conducting illegal car repair works from a private residence," Hill-Lewis wrote in the letter, which News24 has seen.
"Your dishonesty is your choice, but these activities are a land use violation, and the City will deal with that through the appropriate processes."
According to the GOOD party, however, municipal officials have now visited the resident's home four times but no formal warnings or fines have been issued.

The mayor's spokesperson, Lyndon Khan, told News24 the visits were part of a standard land use inspection process and stressed that despite suggestions to the contrary, they did not involve law enforcement.
"The mayor reported a land use violation, as any resident is encouraged to do. The land use compliance process will continue," Khan said.
Police confirmed that a case of intimidation had been opened with Bothasig SAPS, though, and said the matter would be handed over to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for a decision on whether to prosecute.
"The case stems from an incident on 29 March 2025, when the complainant alleged that a suspect addressed him in an intimidating and threatening manner near his home in Edgemead," said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie.

The resident was approached for comment but declined to provide any.
City councillor and GOOD party deputy secretary-general Suzette Little, meanwhile, said repeated visits by municipal officials without any evidence of wrongdoing raised red flags.
"The use of law enforcement in this manner, particularly when there is no evidence of wrongdoing, raises concerns about the abuse of power," said Little.
"GOOD has written to the speaker's office to confirm that public funds will not be used to defend the mayor if he is charged."
You can do that, I can remind you how much was stolen by the DA.Remind everyone again how much money was stolen by the ANC?
Who's a good Mkhwenyana?
