Actually, seen it done in less. There was one a few weeks ago where they just replaced the whole thing. Removed the old, dropped a new, hooked it up and done.

It is just a precaution at this stage so that consumers are aware. Many of our clients sent such mails even if testing for 15.5% is not signed off yet. :cool:

It is not typical of a precaution when everyone says that the price increase will take effect on the 1st of May. I am quite sure that the phrasing of what I underlined is not a precaution, it is instructive.

This is direct from a supplier:

The forthcoming VAT increase will affect all taxable goods and services, including your home, business, and community security solutions. Although the adjustment to the VAT rate is still pending parliamentary approval, it is anticipated that formalisation may take up to a year. Nevertheless, the VAT increase will proceed as announced by the Minister of Finance.

All of the service providers have communicated similar responses. "will take effect", "will proceed", etc.

If I look at the new banking price guides, the inclusive of VAT brackets, if rounded, it is 15.5%.

I am telling you, they are well-informed by Treasury or through whomever it was channeled.

They approached the wrong person. Publishing that will kill that line of enquiry. CP are corrupt AF.

Yes, because it's completely normal that CP managed to access the private messages of one of their employees and definitely aren't using some classic intimidation and scare tactics.

Anything to defend your fellow cadres in state entities, hey?

The first thing that came to mind was that the employee shared the messages with his employer, are there any complaints from him that the messages were accessed and shared without their permission?

Because News24 can just sit on that.
