There is now no point for the court case and to spend money pursuing it, but if the DA feels that strong about their chances, simply reject the settlement offer and continue with the case.

The DA will calmly await the outcome of the court judgement if the ANC’s begging bowl is not to their satisfaction. You should be very careful of what you wish for

Don’t lose faith my friend. If the ANC had the easy option of going at it without the DA, they would have done it long ago. Just like they bowed down to their DA masters’ instructions to scrap VAT, so they will inevitably trundle along with the existing GNU. They know that without the DA, the whole charade comes crashing down.

That’s not to say they may not try it, but it will be as successful as the weekend special finance minister. They will always come running back to the DA to save the day.

It's fascinating at the attacks aimed squarely at the DA. The RET's are simply ignored, they pose no threats (correctly assumed, since Malema is neutered, and MK is simply a JZ-one-man-show that will eat itself the moment JZ dies). I'm starting to get the feeling that the ANC is increasingly trying to neutralize the DA, it seems as if they received data that there has been some kind of mind-shift-vote-shift towards the DA, and this smallanyana-parties briefing is just another sideways-attack, one of many to come?
