The powers of the President are enshrined in the constitution, if you have a problem with that you must change the constitution. The shortcuts that the court has decided to involve itself into are not going to work and just set a bad precedence for a judiciary that does not respect its boundaries.
He does have powers, but not absolute powers.

The judiciary is there to stop the legislative and executive from doing whatever, and to stick to the rules.

Hell, its the judiciary that's kept this country from total ruin, no thanks to your heroes in ANC.

And he is probably going to overturn the decision on appeal, the court is exercising extreme judicial overreach.
No. It would be judicial overreach to overturn nhi with no good reasons.

Forcing the president to provide his notes and all that relating to the decision is nothing of the sort and is part of an open and transparent government.

Go for a read. Chapter 5. The President can't do anything without Parliament, and the other way around also applies. The wonders of the separation of powers.

It's only because of ANC rule that people don't get this, since the ANC made Parliament a rubber stamp for Lootuli's orders.

EDIT: Also, read Chapter 8 about the courts, just for you, Section 165, subsection 2:
The courts are independent and subject only to the Constitution and the law, which
they must apply impartially and without fear, favour or prejudice.
It's not their fault if ANC breaks the law constantly.

Yes, and sometimes the same judiciary gets it wrong.

It's called separation of powers, there are powers the President has that cannot be second guessed by the judiciary and that should be made clear, which should be in due course.

All that ramble is unnecessary, NHI went through Parliament and was signed into law by the President, there us absolutely nothing the President has done outside of the law.

And the president is still answerable to the republic. He is after all a servant. Best he remembers that.
The President has powers that are afforded to him by the constitution, that cannot be second guessed by any other arm of the state.

For example the President can appoint and fire Ministers, without having to explain himself to the judiciary or parliament, or the republic for that you are talking about.

It's really not a complicated concept. If you are all of a sudden unhappy about his powers you can't want to just change the way things are done, you need to go and amend the constitution that gives him the powers.

So you don't exactly understand the law do you?

It's not a metro, it's a normal Municipality in the NW, name shall be withheld for now as I see no relevance.

It's a village, you pay for water and electricity, directly to Eskom and Magalies water, there is no refuse services rendered by the municipality.
So long and short you cant expect something you do not pay for
Getting something for nothing is called a gift

I suggest you approach your councillor and propose that they setup refuse collection and disposal and charge everyone for it

And I suggest you learn to follow the conversation, this is a post I responded to, nowhere did I demand to get any service I am not paying for.

You are in fact technically correct.

But I do have to ask. In low income areas, do you see people actively cleaning their streets or throwing rubbish around like crazy? Unfortunately, majority of people in these areas have little to no respect for the area they live in.

Then you go to middle income and upwards areas, black, coloured, white, etc, you always see the community working together to keep the area clean, forming NHWs, attending community meetings, and getting stuff done to get their area nice, plus most importantly, holding their councillors accountable.

I just happen to live in a low income area, we have no refuse removal, nothing, not like the truck comes this week and next week it doesn't, there is no such service, but you will never find streets littered with garbage, everyone takes care of their rubbish.

The streets strewn with rubbish phenomenon is a township/squatter camp thing, not a low income area thing.
