Oi! Leave me out of this...
Why must I ask her anything? Be a man, and answer my question.

That went very well, in a couple of minutes we learnt more about democracy that we did in 30 years, all thanks to @wingnut771.The concept comes from Ancient Greece hence the adaptation of the ancient Greek term across multiple languages.
The Afrikaans and Dutch word is exactly the same. Thus it arrived with Jan.
At least Jan could write "democracy" when he arrived. That went very well, in a couple of minutes we learnt more about democracy that we did in 30 years, all thanks to @wingnut771.
I thought you were interested in knowing what is corruption in Xhosa? Unless you have lost interest all of a sudden, which is still fine by me.Why must I ask her anything? Be a man, and answer my question.

Can't she be useful and cast a spell on Zille? Or is burping and sitting on the floor all she can do?
So there is no word for democracy in Afrikaans or English?
What's her post? The kind of fallout that would happen if the DA were to leave the GNU, thankfully Mrs Beaumont would not tolerate the thought.
So you don't know, Khongolose small boy?I thought you were interested in knowing what is corruption in Xhosa? Unless you have lost interest all of a sudden, which is still fine by me.
Here, I apologise for not having an answer. So you don't know, Khongolose small boy?
No idea, why don't you ask Zille? Apparently she is fluent in Xhosa.
The kind of fallout that would happen if the DA were to leave the GNU, thankfully Mrs Beaumont would not tolerate the thought.
My point was that a lot of livelihoods will suffer if the DA listens to some of their supporters and left the GNU, there must be a couple of DA comrades children and family members who are now meaningfully employed since the DA joined the GNU.Community Outreach Officer?
Unless HR policies were heavily flaunted for her to get the job, then I really can't see a huge issue here.
I imagine Mashatile would hold the views over that lotto tender. His family and friends are qualified so why can't they get the tender. Ditto the minister for HE with those seta appointments. Relations to power and powerful people are purely coincidental. If Annie doesn't meet the requirements for the position, then yes there is a problem.. if she does and she has been doing a decent job then it would boil down to HR policies and whether those were flaunted or not.
There is a Sotho word, it's called bomenemene, it means hypocrisy in English.I imagine Mashatile would hold the views over that lotto tender. His family and friends are qualified so why can't they get the tender. Ditto the minister for HE with those seta appointments. Relations to power and powerful people are purely coincidental.
what gave it away? the pathetic bootlicking in the Whitehouse defending the ANC's racist policies?unlike Steenhuisen who comes across as too accommodating to the ANC.
That's so eloquently put down it reminded me a little of Mr Facts Unlimited, hope he survived the Israel/ Iran war.English and Afrikaans are Teutonic languages. Their roots are Indo-European, the same as the much older Greek and Latin languages. It's the reason medical and legal students had to take Latin as a subject, so that their understanding of terms was reinforced by the origins of the meanings.
The Teutonic languages absorbed words from many languages. The word and concept of democracy are but one that were absorbed centuries ago.
There was no word or concept of democracy in the Bantu languages and both the word and concept were absorbed from the Teutonic languages brought to Africa in the last few centuries. Hence the new Pedi word, temokrasi. Written in the same Roman (Latin) alphabet as the Teutonic languages.
Democracy is dimokratia in Greek when written in the Latin alphabet and δημοκρατία when written in the Greek alphabet.
Just a few weeks ago .. VAT increase was a non -suffer issue for you. Why you care now ?My point was that a lot of livelihoods will suffer if the DA listens to some of their supporters and left the GNU, there must be a couple of DA comrades children and family members who are now meaningfully employed since the DA joined the GNU.
Hasty decisions that cost people jobs in this economy will not be good.
