As far as I am aware UFC and other combat sports dont get full sports funding.
Someone's daughter I know was representing SA recently and had to pay their own way

I know of a lot of smaller sports that could really do with it

I know a lot of Gov departments latch onto wins by SA's sports people while not financially supporting them

It's like with the ANC, they don't hate the ANC for corruption, they hate the ANC because it's talking and talking seriously about doing away with apartheid's legacy with BEE, EWC, BELA, NHI etc. The white capitalist establishment in South Africa was fine with the ANC (not all members though) until their people in the ANC such as Ramaphosa started talking about the past and it's legacy. Before then, the private sector looted SA together with the politicians as Agrizzi told and showed us.

You cheer a foreigner over a white south african who chooses to fight with the national flag draped over his shoulder, and pronounces nothing but love for the entire country, a shining example of what an ambassador for the south africa should be. And you do this because he is white.

Don't you think that it's a stupid move to cosy up to the enemy of the country you're desperately trying to negotiate with to ease tariffs? Tariffs that could have the potential to scupper your already ailing economy?

"We will not be bullied" won't save jobs or the economy.

I think it is stupid to pretend like there was no relationship between SA and Iran before Maphwanya.

But what's even more stupid is pretending like Trump was not going to do what he wants to do if Maphwanya did not go to Iran, that I find exceptionally stupid.

Lol, there was, and is part of the reason why we might get moered with high tariffs.

Consoling yourself with "Trumpo does whatever he wants anyway" isn't going to make the tariffs ok.

We might get moered with higher tariffs for imaginary white genocide, we might get moered with higher tariffs because Trump woke up in a bad mood, we have long realized Trump does not need a valid reason to be Trump and have made peace with it.
