Let me explain why she won't be Mayor, then any of the DA supporters can put their counter arguments.

1. The DA won't get a Majority.
2. They won't get enough votes to govern with the Freedom Front.
3. If the DA is able to conjure something, she will have to humble herself before Juju like all previous DA Mayors had to, Zille would die before she does that.

So sanity will prevail at some point, Gogo will sell her Yaris, buy a bigger SUV, her and the long suffering husband Mr Maree will enjoy scenic drives in Cape Town and beyond the borders, she will cook many dodgy meals and Mr Maree will pretend to like them and they will live happily ever after.
🎯

Love how you started with the most indisputable fact which is the DA never getting majority. 🤣

If she is reasonable, GPU with DA in COJ is a possibility, even if remote one. I am probably vainly hopeful as I type that one out.
That could happen if she wasn't a candidate, the DA could easily lead the metro as they have done previously.

But the problem is simple, the DA in Gauteng might be a bunch of sheep who have accepted that no one amongst them can lead the city and Zille must make the groot trek from Cape Town to lead Joburg, but how do you think that would go down with other parties?

It's a matter of self respect, if the black people in the DA Gauteng don't have any, other parties will have enough self respect for themselves as well as for Msimanga and his gang by telling Gogo to go and get lost in the table mountain.

But is it being investigated by same police ? I mean same organization, for sure but same guys ?

The one I'm interested in has had maybe five lots of investigators now. I get the feeling every time a team got somewhere they were pulled and it was allocated to a new bunch. Been seven years now and no sign of justice.

I know we would like to believe there is a good faction and a bad faction in the SAPS, I am a Mkhwanazi man myself, but even I have to accept that SAPS doesn't have much credibility at the moment, that is the reason for bringing a neutral party like the commission to investigate without favour or bias to any of the faction.

But your feeling is your feeling.

1. Neither will your mafia GLM.

Now what? Is Panty going to humble himself before Juju so that do-fsck-all-except-fsck-it-all-up Dada can stay as Mayor?

Yeah, it is tough for Zille. I wonder if ActionSA have someone like Dr. Moya for COJ.

I hope Juju just f-offs into oblivion - that guy is poison for SA.

1. No single party will get a majority - those days are gone.
2. How have you come to that conclusion? - You'll recall the ANC only managed 36% last time out.
3. Why would JuJu be involved? MK has eaten most of their support and EFF support has largely collapsed.

It doesn't matter about majority party though. All it matters is a candidate that is acceptable to majority party, something like Dr. Moya ?

FeeFees remember, oh and DA BAD!

Let's say it's being investigated by a different team, with so much infiltration and factions in SAPS how will you know for sure this time it will be investigated properly?

My feeling is that the commission is going to investigate SAPS, even Mkhwanazi and his guys, so taking that into account, they cannot assume there is a good faction which the dockets can be with, it's simply about protecting the integrity of the investigation.

But I get what Shaun is saying, he has one he is interested in, so he doesn't really care if the team take the dockets that implicates their buddies, burn them in a huge fire and only investigate the one he is interested in properly.

You're completing ignoring the fact that the DA JHB mayoral candidates, besides perhaps Mashaba, weren't very well-known and never had the heft of someone like Zille. That fact that you can't contemplate that Zille might add votes to the DA tally rather than subtracting them shows your parochial mindset.

Also despite your claim that Zille is some sort of Western Cape refugee, she actually grew up, studied & worked in JHB so knows the area well. Facts are facts.

No , it's not . It 's the same person as in the first video . What he describes in the first video is that there were two attacks on his farm . The first attack was directed at him, and he acted in self-defense . In the second video that you shared above, he describes the second attack that happened on his farm, where his grandson was attacked by five men, and his grandson shot one of the attackers.

Just shout if you need it to be translated 😘

Well it would be nice for them all to receive proper investigation. But I doubt that's going to happen either. I know the odds of the one I'm interested in seeing the light of day are remote. But every now and again I have a dream

2. I know that because the Freedom Front only gets like 1% of the vote in JHB, if they get more, it can only be at the DA's expense, and even then it won't even go to 3%.

The DA are not going to get 47%, they got 26% in 2021, so in a good turnout, it will be in the early 30s or at most late 30s which is the highest they have ever got in JHB.

3.Why would Juju be involved? Because believe it or not, his party will still be a massive factor in Gauteng, JHB in particular, you must be exceptionally delusional if you think they are going to disappear, they lost Zulu votes to MK, the majority of their support remains.

Look man, the DA can go with Zille, it is their choice, but even you will admit they are going to have a tough time making friends with other kids on the playground with Zille.

So the fact that she grew up in JHB, studied and worked there is not going to help the DA when the time for coalitions comes, I would like to hear you dispute that but I doubt you can. There will be 5 big players in JHB, the ANC, DA, MK, EFF, ActionSA, any coalition is going to be anchored around those, take the ANC out and tell me Zille can convince the EFF, MK and ActionSA to make her Mayor.

And yes, Zille is an unlikeable person, she won't add anything significant to the DA vote in JHB, this is a very different environment to Cape Town.
