The DA want to win Joburg at all costs. The ANC are a different beast with a line of people waiting their turn at the trough. Their structures would revolt if they tried something like this.

The problem is that the tariffs are going to disproportionately hit the place that can least afford it.. the Eastern Cape.

Yes its going to suck all over the country, but its going to be devastating to the EC very likely.

Justice Madlanga asks, if a Minister issues a directive that is encroaching on operations would you disobey the Minister?

Masemola replies by mentioning how career limiting it would be to disobey the Minister.

Let's see if it's true what they say if one door closes another one opens.

I saw a writeup a while back if there were other doors , then business would allready be using them
Also opening new doors takes a lot of time. Job losses are going to happen very fast before that can happen
We have had one of the biggest markets closing their door to us. It will not be easily replaced

The DA already has got great leadership in various places, mayors and ministers. Their ministers are just miles ahead of the ANC counterparts. You have to admit that the DA excellence can only be good for CoJ. ANC destruction cannot be allowed to continue.
