Well, that's what the right wingers should have thought about before telling lies to Trump.
Lol. So useless. Just waiting/being passive. No Plan B. The ANC is too ideologically rigid to show any flexibility towards BEE.

Sticking points to achieving a deal include the nation’s black empowerment policies that were introduced after 1994 to address racial disparities stemming from colonial and apartheid rule, Zane Dangor, the director-general of South Africa’s foreign affairs department, told a panel discussion earlier on Tuesday.
“What is bedeviling the issue is some of the demands that are being made,” he said.
“They were quite clear that there are certain things they expect from South Africa and black economic empowerment was high on the agenda.”

Perfect. ANC leaders will find out FAFO.
Why do these comrade politicians like making vague references like this? Why doesnt he say who the cabals are and what their agendas are? He presumably knows.
If they are specific with names, they could be sued for slander ?Why do these comrade politicians like making vague references like this? Why doesnt he say who the cabals are and what their agendas are? He presumably knows.
I really doubt top ANC leaders are worried about this. I am pretty sure that the "sanctionable" ones have collected enough moola from us to tide them over multiple generations. It is however telling that he's giving a peek behind the curtain of ANC thinking on relationship with the US. The ANC would probably be in a nasty predicament if they get sanctioned by the hostile Trump administration. There would be no incentive for them to deal with the US anymore going forward.
| Province | Municipality | Ward No. | Party | Ward Vote Share (%) |

It's becoming increasingly difficult to put out all these fires.
Poor Champy is going to have to ask for a raise soon.

As the global economy rebalances away from a historic Western core, SA must act strategically
We must not allow our foreign policy to be captured by ideological cliques, partisan political factions, cabals of businesspeople with their own agendas.www.dailymaverick.co.za
You can almost smell the desperation

The ANC only act in ANC interest before the country's. Dealing with Trump is probably hard. He's hostile and has decided a narrative regardless of the reality. But the ANC should still have grovelled for the good of the country. Europe have done it as have many others. Only China, Canada and Mexico are standing up to him. China have the muscle to do so.The incentive would be for the good of the country through jobs and economic benefits, of course we know the ANC only works on personal incentives.
