It won't be unresolved if you answer whether you know both of them or not. Do you know them? Yes or no.
One of them is me.😉
Being new to this forum, I'm rather surprised that some supposedly mature, intelligent and hopefully honest members seem to have an evasive inability and use mental gymnastics to not answer questions that would show them wrong.
Welcome to the forum.
If you're wrong, own it and move on. I have several times on this forum, and then thanked the person for enlightening me. Being proven wrong on this anonymous forum seems to evoke feelings of mental anguish among some.
I've been wrong on many occasions. I've apologised to forum members before. What exactly is your point?

When you have nothing to campaign on.
BOSA called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to declare 16 August a national holiday to commemorate the mineworkers who were killed by the police on this day in 2012.

“Today, 13 years ago, 34 mineworkers were killed and 78 were injured, many of them critically, because they dared to stand up and speak out against their living conditions and their low wages. These men were shot down, some at point-blank range, by a government and its police force whose response to protest is brutality,” reads a statement from BOSA spokesperson Roger Solomons, issued on Saturday.

“There is no closure, and there is incomplete justice for the families who are now fatherless. This is a blemish on our nation, and we ought to right these wrongs.

“That is why we call on President Cyril Ramaphosa to declare 16 August Marikana Memorial Day - to be commemorated each year in honour of the breadwinners who were killed 13 years ago.

“The President is empowered, through proclamation, to declare any day to be observed and commemorated. We implore him to do the right thing and declare today a commemorative day.”

The second day of the National Conversion kicks off with an anti-bullying art performance. (Thahasello Mphatsoe/News24)
A delegate in the audience stands to raise a point about children being excluded from the National Convention and, ultimately, the National Dialogue.

He did not identify himself but spoke of the need to have them form part of the conversation.

Top trolling.

An audience member was protesting the majority of the audience who voted to speed up the presentation.

The vote was by show of hand.
- Alex Patrick
The constitution of the steering committee is not going well.

A delegate says the whole thing is based on "western philosophy" and she doesn't relate to it.

There is some applause.

- Jan Gerber
A delegate said she was not represented as 'sex workers' were not on the list.

Another delegate said the disabled and the aged are also not represented.

News24 is in the audience, which is talking, laughing and complaining among themselves.
"We are not going to be shouted at by one or two voices," says the person presiding over the session.
- Jan Gerber

Another delegate questions why there will be 22 members of the steering committee.
"Chairperson! Chairperson! You are out of order!" says another delegate as the person presiding asks them to break into smaller groups.
"We are not going to separate here!" the delegates say.

Another delegate raises concerns.
- Jan Gerber
A delegate from the "environment " sector said that by being put in the same block as "human rights" and other very important sectors, "once again [shows] the environment is not given as much importance" as it ought to.

He reminded the audience that water is vital for life.

Another delegate who sells marijuana said his sector was not recognised.

A man in a wheelchair says he hasn't been able to access the room, which he believes shows that people with disabilities are mere decoration, "a tick-box exercise".

" feel like a stray dog or cat that is a nuisance."

One speaker, the founder of Phakama Ndoda Foundation, has asked to speak vernacular.

Speaking in IsiXhosa she likens the ongoing process to a toxic and abusive relationship with a lover who beats you while comforting you.

She calls out Deputy President Paul Mashatile for walking out just as talks went into corruption.

She says this is pure disrespect.
At least two speakers have lamented that the leaders of political parties have walked out, including Mashatile.

The programme director said he received a note giving the reason for Mashatile's absence.

To this, the crowd reacts negatively."I see there is no appetite for this note," he said, adding it would be added to the WhatsApp group and not read out.
Deputy President Paul Mashatile is back in the room. He received a round of applause as he walked in.
- Amanda Khoza.

News24 understands that Deputy President Paul Mashatile, who is Acting President today, has not left the National Convention.
He is apparently meeting with the group of disgruntled Khoisan and Coloured representatives who stormed the stage on Friday because they felt excluded.

So, Mashatile has not left Unisa or the Convention. Delegates had expressed their dismay that Mashatile left the room before they could raise their concerns.

National Farce. It will end in tears for the ANC.

Part 2 of the National Farce:
Before lunch was served, the chair chose 10 people to speak, but one member who was recognised was not happy and is upset. The chair said he wanted to speak to the "young black woman speaker".

The disgruntled man then yelled insults seemingly at the woman.

The crowd began leaving and it looked like the meeting would collapse.

The chair then said he would allow them to speak, but only if he apologised to the woman first.
Delegates have chosen to go to lunch instead of carrying on with the convention.
The taxi industry, military veterans, and the technology sector also want to be recognised.

The delegates will now go into breakaway sections.

Some groups will not be ready to nominate their representative to the steering committee.

There will be an additional two weeks to decide, but the sectoral groups will have to decide on two or three nominees and, over the coming weeks, meet virtually or physically to decide. The process must be public.

DA voters don't work in factories, they have nice office jobs.

An interesting observation, which leads to the following questions:

Do they have office jobs because they vote DA?

Or:

Do they vote DA because they are office workers?

Stop tagging the 2 accounts. This is between Mariner and ForceFate.

I cannot confirm nor deny association with either one or both accounts. 🤔🙂

Why are you so evasive? It's an easy question that requires only confirmation or denial. Or do you enjoy playing games?
