Ireland government supports Palestine officially. You don't have to approve of everything that you support and they don't have to emulate everything that Palestine does.

No, because Sinn Fein isn't part of the official government if my memory serves me correctly. But the Irish themselves are madly pro-Palestine as they see themselves as historically oppressed by the English (e..g. potato famine).

So Irish are bedfellows with Palestine and not just Sinn Fein. That was the point I wanted to make.

Dada Morero is prepared to give Zille an MMC position to save the coalition.

This would give Zille some much needed experience to navigate a diverse city like Johannesburg, learn it's challenges so that she can govern better when she is Mayor than what the DA did in Tshwane.

One thing we need to commend Dada on is he delivers on his promises. When he started he said he's going to do nothing, and he's doing exactly that...

I actually think he's failed on that..

He's achieved a fair amount while mayor, he's fscked the city up even more which is an achievement in and of itself.

Listen here. The ANC claims because they are the biggest party in the GNU, they get to call the shots. When the DA is the biggest party in JHB, Morero will be bowing down before uGogo and will accept any position she gives him, if she's so inclined.. It's only fair.

DA was excluded from the JHB coalition . So why would she accept ?
Also in my mind it would be the worst possible decision to join in with the ANC now that JHB is a complete shitshow.
Also you ( and Malcom ) were clapping very loudly for the coalition and DA's exclusion if my memory serves me correctly

The GNU has shown it makes no use to try be part of anything with the ANC.
They are liars and have no intention of including anyone in anything
All that gives is teh PR rats like malcom and champy a box to stand on saying , but you are part of teh gnu , therefor you are to blame, where in reality the ANC did not even liase ( never mind negotiate ) with anyone in the GNU for 5 months +

imo and I still stand by it is rather try find common ground with the rest ( excluding the anc ) and kick them out of power completely. The ANC has too many trough feeders all competing for the large ( but now getting less quickly ) number of troughs. As soon as that number gets too small ~<25% then the ANC will implode in a very spectacular fashion. We saw when the GNU was created all of a sudden the ANC created a whole lot more ministerial ( and deputy ) posts so that anc cadres's could feed

How do the rest find common ground with EFF and MK? Those 2 are even worse...

The problem is the EFF and MK are the worst elements of the ANC... it would be more productive to have the ANC in the fold than either of those 2 cretins.

Maybe it would be best to leave them to their own devices and let the country crash faster so that people change their tribal way of voting
Trying to prop up any of them will just delay the inevitable

You can't. Mashaba tried, and ended up converting to a flip flopper himself.

EFF and MK should actually be given a chance to govern a metro. Let their voters live through it. We should trial it in Durban since MK + EFF has a realistic chance of forming a majority there...
