Good, a ward election is not that expensive, the ANC contests every ward, the DA with all the millions should be able to contest in all wards in Gauteng.

There us another by election in Soweto next month, let's see if Gogo will be brave enough to walk the talk.
Some wards it just does not make sense financially to contest outside main elections

If you are claiming you have a good chance of winning Joburg but you are still avoiding contesting in Soweto, you are not being serious.

It's not always about winning but about building a presence, you have to start somewhere, even when it will be embarrassing at the beginning.

Or you could do the clever thing and just leave your opposition to destroy themselves and then step into the void.

Residents of Alexandra township have issued a stark warning to the City of Johannesburg, threatening to disrupt the upcoming G20 summit if their longstanding grievances over service delivery and crime are not urgently addressed.

But Gugulethu?

She's also been touched by the Zuma magic. She'll outlive you, just like Sabir Shaik who was on his death bed back in 2009 and Zuma 4 years ago. They have some strong muthi buthi.
Exactly. Just when the cadres start sighing in relief that Gogo has left the scene, she comes back with a bang to send them all to prison. It's never easy being a thieving comrade, always have to be looking over your shoulder for the Madam that never dies

Andrek didn't say it and isn't doing it for the people of Merafong.

The Greater Fochville Water Crisis Committee has hit back at the Merafong Local Municipality, accusing it of misleading the public, wasting resources, and failing to take accountability for the ongoing water crisis.

The response follows the municipality’s claim that Rand Water imposed a 40% restriction because of non-payment by residents and mines.

However, the committee said the municipality is undermining the intelligence and lived experiences of residents by shifting blame onto communities and mining houses.

The members argue that mining houses are already paying half their dues into municipal accounts, with the rest withheld due to ongoing court battles over contested billing.

The Greater Fochville Water Crisis Committee said the households in Fochville and Kokosi were among Merafong’s highest payers.

The committee also accused officials of misusing revenue that should be directed toward service delivery, saying the mayor’s R1.5 million State of the City address could have been used to repair reservoirs or improve water tanker operations.

The mayor’s address came just two weeks after Rand Water escalated supply cuts due to payment defaults.

The committee reiterated its ultimatum for water supply to be restored by Thursday, warning that the municipality’s declarations of solidarity ring hollow without action.

Frustrated by what they described as no-shows from Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Rand Water’s CEO, the community said it would now engage both offices directly to find a way forward.

I didn't remove the "also read" links as you usually do when posting an article. Because it's kak funny, not only because of their anger towards the ANC, but because they voted for them in the first place and moan when they get what they wanted...

Tend to agree with Zille and what she said there
Ramaphosa doesnt have the balls to do what is needed to grow the country , hence why we have had 30 years of the same crap and doing the same again will just sink the country more...

Then we have people like TheChamp who seem to support illegal actions which is why we had the VAT debacle and him supporting groups who commit premeditated murder. He affirms his stance of doing the things the way they have been done for 30 years. Makes me wonder if he has been a direct receiver of illegal payoffs from tenders. Never mind cementing in my mind that he is a fully paid PR bot. That is the only thing that explains his doggedness

If we had a leader that put a comprehensive plan on the table on how to grow the country with the balls to implement it I would vote for them. Even if it was ANC/EFF/MK/ASA

ATM there is no plan from any of those parties other than on how to enrich themselves
