Can I potentially suggest a random flame thrower at inopportune times of the year might be effective? :P
Well, if history is to be believed, we do have the tech to misguide planes to land in the wrong places. Now those big Russkie planes frequenting Waterkloof AFB had to ...

The DA always looking out for the taxpayer to recover money stolen by the ANC

Waste of time and I assume the DA are engaging in a bit of clowning of their own. They dont have the numbers to vote him out.
Don't think it's about winning. It's about putting people on the spot. Was the same in Zuma's days. You get to see who's backing who, and abstaining has the same effect as voting for them. They'll go to town and use it during their election campaign...

But why did a majority of the parties in the Gauteng legislature vote for a Premier from the ANC if they all hate it so much?
Because he lied in his negotiations. Then changed his mind after getting the votes. This is probably why they hate him more than they used to...

I'm sure someone can post the current Gauteng legislature vote shares. The LGE is coming up and there are some parties (most parties) who will gain a lot by having the ANC in disarray in Gauteng with a premier voted out of office and scrambling.

So unfortunately the LGE's have no bearing on provincial legislature.

What it does possibly mean is that provincial legislature becomes even more unimportant as it tries to wield its authority and gets taken to court regularly for overstepping its bounds, or doing things illegally etc.

Disagree. The ANC in disarray, whether Nationally or Provincially, will always have some bearing on their LGE performance
