It's the biggest show in town. Why shouldn't the local media fixate on that? Local media hardly cover the war in Ukraine, it is of very little interest here. European media would cover the war more extensively and Trump once again giving in to Russia is big news for Europe and most of the western media. Totally understandable

We thumbed it to the US (with the support of the rest of the G18 apparently), and probably annoyed the Orange Don, until he gets distracted by the next shiny gold ornament from Home Depot.

BUT, they did clean up JHB somewhat to make sure that our international guests didn't feel TOOO dirty, so the residents should be grateful for the city being cleaner for a few weeks until the city goes back to normal.
