Seven provinces voted in favour of the recommendation, while two voted against.

I am shocked that the seven provinces (where ANC has a majority and thus a majority of the members for each of them) would vote down a motion by DA to dissolve Knysna, which has been in omnishambles for the past few years.

Bredell also lashed out at the NCOP’s ruling, saying it was politically motivated. “The NCOP made a political decision to prevent the Western Cape provincial government from saving Knysna from the foreseeable complete breakdown of service delivery.

I partially blame lazy DA voters there who didn't come out in their numbers in 2021 (possibly covid related as it has a lot of rich retirees living there). That 35% was not a proper reflection of the DA strength in Knysna and although it was partially 'fixed' in 2024 with the DA obtaining 50% of the vote, they will have to wait about a year to actually fix the municipality.

Wut?

No I think the dog thing insinuates Gogo being the owner and ST/media the dog (which is ****ing hilarious seeing as the media can't stand the DA)
"Media can't stand DA" is just DA victimhood but I got your other point now.

DA victimhood, lol.

Yeah, because the media going out of its way to disqualify Gogo for the mayoralty, as well as the usual sobbing about "racism and black leaders", didn't again highlight the double standards in the media.

Did you watch Anele's interview with her?
